"Having read some scary reviews, we were a little worried - but it was not at all Fawlty Towers. The building itself is magnificent - it's definitely the tallest room I've ever slept in. The roses in the walkway - such a scent. The gardens have a well-tended, shabby-chic feel where you can see the grandeur of the original planting being colonised by nature. "We had an absolutely amazing stay here. One of the best places we have ever stayed as a family. An incredible welcome, wonderful food together - we loved it. A stunning location - the garden is beautiful. Very comfortable beds and pretty bedroom and bathroom too. We will definitely return!"

"Great location. All city shops, restaurants and historical sites easily within walking distance. The pool and sunbeds were particularly welcome in the late afternoons on the hot days we stayed there. Fan provided in the room was a bonus (temperatures were exceptionally high)."
