Brilliant - beautiful place, wonderful owner.

Four nights here - and loved it. It is beautifully quiet, the room was lovely and the pool beautiful with a great view. Christine (the owner) could not have been more helpful, she was genuinely concerned about making sure everything was OK and you were having a good time - which I was! Had dinner there on 2 nights, really nice with wonderful view. Thank you Christine - love your place - I hope I will be back next year!

Cadre superbe au milieu des vignes, au calme, dans un ancien relais de poste réhabilité avec goût. Piscine très agréable. Accueil parfait. La propriétaire saura vous conseiller pour vos visites selon vos envies.

NOT a luxury B&B

No restaurant/bar facility on site, host unable to cook for us on arrival meaning a drive of 10k to a bistro. We were lone guests in the bistro. Information booklet in room out of date, promoted cafes and restaurants mentioned often turned out to be permanently closed. Also information regarding B & B services not accurate (no complimentary drinks) no in room tea/coffee making facility. Communal kitchen poorly equipped bath towels left on floor for replacement often simply hung up for us to reuse. Room furnishings sparse, no easy chairs. Checked out two days earlier than intended.

A Room in the Cognac Vineyards.

A quiet and charming place to stay set in the middle of the Cognac vineyards. Christine is indeed the hostess with the mostest ensuring one has a memorable and enjoyable stay. Meals are a set menu cooked by the redoubtable Christine and are taken in a family dining room along with the other guests. A highlight is the introduction to Pineau and other Cognac based drinks one would not normally taste. Her husband is an Ambassador of Cognac and gives tutored tastings and tours of the local Cognac producers.

Stunning location with luxurious and private rooms

Stunning location (quiet, rural) close to Cognac town and in the midst of vinyards. The Relais is in an exceptionally thoughtfully converted 17th century coaching house. The owner could NOT have been more helpful, charming and thorough. Every request and nuance was either pre-considered or accommodated (but most possibilities had been planned for long ago!). Excellent food, cooked by the Owner, using local produce where possible, and special requests catered for. Rooms are very comfortable, luxurious and private, with the benefit of a lounge (tea, coffee, papers, TV, games) for the residents of the 5 or 6 rooms. We had a superb if short stay, and would come back to use this as a centre for the visiting the region at a later date. Wifi was not too hot - so enjoy a break with no e-mails or Facebook!!!

Great experience

this was a real surprise and treat to stay in a three hundred year old coaching house which has been renovated to an outstanding condition and situated in the center of the cognac vinyards . Christine our host was extremely friendly and welcoming and we decided to order her local traditional dinner which was a pleasant surprise and well worth trying . This was a great experience and we would recommend it to any one to try it
