"We loved Bordeaux and of course the wine! The Residhome Hotel was excellent and had a secure underground parking garage for our car. The location was great. The tram runs past the hotel and was easy to use. Buffet breakfast was very generous and delicious. Easy walking distance to the old city, Cite du Vin and other attractions and historic sites. We highly recommend the hotel."

"They have pictures of nice and clean beautiful rooms in the website but this is not true. The room smelled and it had little bugs in the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has mold and it was very warm. The towels had stains. I would not recommend this unless your on a very low budget. "

"Our second visit to Apparteo Bordeaux and equally enjoyable! The room on the top floor was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great terrace for outdoor dining - very relaxing and appreciated as it was 30C+. A lot of renovation of the surrounding area makes for a very pleasant stay with loads of waterside restaurants, the lovely Halles de Bacalan and, of course the Cite du Vin. Can recommend taking the No. 4 bus from directly across the road to the Château de Pape Clemente...

"The property was ideal for us as a young family. Comfortable, great location and facilities within the apartment. Once we were contacted by the concierge the communication was great but initially there were a few challenges getting hold of property and confirming cot bed & deposit. "After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "First of all it should be pointed out that the flat is in a senior citizens home. Slightly strange but unless you keep very strange hours then it's not a problem. The building is quiet and the parking is covered by CCTV. I|t's close to one of the major roads out of the city so if you have a car it's not a problem. Apartment is lovely and airy (no aircon). "Arrived around midnight and had already checked in online but staff there to explain everything. Very clean room and bed was so comfortable and so were pillows. Facilities in room v good. Didn't take breakfast. Good location as near town centre but felt slightly ofput as lots of graffiti in Bordeaux and nearby main road had some undesirables."

"The home is gorgeous and literally in the center of town. Easy to walk everywhere. Caroline arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the train station and we were met by Lucy who was wonderful. She sat us down with a map of the town. She circled and labeled things she felt we shouldn’t miss as well as places I told her we had things booked for. Dinner reservations were made for us and the recriminations were great. We opted not to have a full breakfast each morning but did have croissants and coffee out on the back patio which was lovely. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. When we asked for more pillows we were accommodated. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Saint Emilion and would definitely stay there again"
