I love this beautifully maintaned and meticulously run hotel. I hate leaving this review because I wish I could keep this secret wonderful place to myself. I told my best friends and my sister. And now the world. They are superb. Restaurant and bar, the Starlight, was just that, perfection. The people were unbelievable and it rubs off on the guests. The room was fantastic. If Mary Poppins came to life and asked me for a referral on where to stay in Sacramento, it would be here. Magical.

One of the best hotel stays ever! The hotel has preserved the historic character of an old women’s Masonic temple. Beautiful architecture! Rooms were clean & comfortable. Breakfast was great and staffed by a wonderful chef/waiter. Location was excellent. About a 2 mile walk into historic waterfront / museum area. Lots of great restaurants /cafes just a half mile away. We stayed here while watching crew races at lake natoma just 20 min drive away. Highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing location.. the valet staff and the system they use is the best!! Front staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was VERY large, comfortable beds and linens. I do wish there was black out curtains but that’s my only issue with our room - so not Much to complain about! Will stay here again.

The building is historic and well-maintained with a friendly staff. It is surrounded by Victorian style houses in the neighborhood. The hot breakfast was good. The room is clean and spacious. Breakfast wasn't bad for free. Bar was nice with a great selection of cocktails and wine. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean, very large and well appointed room. Very quiet with really comfortable bed. Shower and bath very clean. Breakfast was very good with many choices set out in a beautiful room. The hotel is in a historic building, with new addition for rooms, right across from Sutter's Fort State Historic Park in center Sacramento. Good place to walk with lots of shade trees. Nearby there are many options for eating. The state capitol with lovely gardens is very close. There is street parking nearby. We will return when we visit Sacramento relatives again.
