"The reason for this trrrible review is this. We bookedvthis motel about 3 weeks prior. When we arrived to book in we wete informed that thetr was no hot water in the room. We were offered the opportunity to stay but we would have to have cold showers. What really annoyed us that no one had botjrred to contact us about it beforr we arrived. We declined the offer and booked another motel just down the road. This motel informed us that the Furlong motel had been without hot water for about 4 weeks. Absolutely terrible customer service by the Furlong motel and we will never be staying there again. The motel we stayed in...the Kiwi Court Motel was excellent and will be where we will stay in future. "

"Room and facilities were great. Host was very rude to us but very happy and chatty with others that were older than us. Location and value for money but will be better if host wasn’t rude and short with people. Felt like she was very judging towards me and my friend when we gave her nothing but respect "

"Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "
