Der goldene Saal im Rathaus Augsburg ist ein mehr al 500 qm grosser Prunksaal der Stadt Augsburg. Er befindet sich im Obergeschoß des zwischen 1615 - bis 1620 von Elias Holl erbauten Rathauses. Er ist einer der bedeutendsten Kulturdenkmäler der Spätrenaissance in Deutschland. Das Rathaus und auch der goldene Saal mit seine Fürstenzimmern wurde im Februar 1944 durch britische Bomber vollkommen zerstört. Das jetzige Rathaus und der goldene Saal sind eine aufwendige Rekonstruktion aus den 90ziger Jahren des letzten Jahrtausend und haben fast 10 Jahre gedauert. Johannes Heribert Pohl

We stayed for one night (with a toddler) and was a lovely stay. Good sized room, clean and friendly/helpful staff. Underground on site parking was good bonus, as was the proximity to the tram station to get into the city centre.
