This property is far more than a two star. The rooms are wonderfully clean and the staff are lovely and very helpful.
I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in central rome, and can say that we will certainly be staying again.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for everything was at the elevator was out of commission during the 10 days that we were staying there. That really was not a big deal though and other than that the stay was absolutely great. The staff was very friendly. They provided us with maps of the area and some of the places to see in the area and some of the good restaurants. Overall, the day was great and When we are in Rome next, we will definitely stay there.
Have stayed here previously. Clean and tidy and convenient to get around the city. Not really wheelchair friendly which was no issue to me but could clearly effect some.
I liked the hotel location because it was conveniently closed to the train station so if you need to catch a train or go to the airport it is great. It is also closed to metro and buses so you can tourist. I only stay for one night so it was good enough.
Room is neat and tidy, wifi is at good speed and there is housekeeping everyday. Staff is efficient and helpful. On the whole, the stay is worth the money.
We had a great stay at Hotel Taormina overall! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It even had a lovely balcony overlooking the street. There was some road noise which we didn’t mind - but it is something to take note of if you prefer silence (although many hotels in Rome are on busy streets). While the hotel itself was great, the area surrounding may feel unsafe to some; however, I would say this was the case more so in the evenings rather than daytime. The hotel is close to the metro, Roma Termini, and the Colosseum (20 min walk) which was very convenient!
Well, so much I can say about the location.
1. Front desk was extremely nice. Everyone that was working was delightful.
2. Area is a little sketchy, this is a problem all over Rome but chill with the graffiti.
3. Close to Roma Termini (Great for city bus, sightseeing busses and Airport shuttles)
4. So many restaurants! Great for food selection.
5. Only major dislike was the housekeeping bed was half made everyday and no sign available for (don't disturb)
Property is newly refurbished, great value for money, great AC, left luggage and a shower for post checkout, which is fabulous. About 15 min walk from Termini. Bed was soft
Great place for exploring Rome, 15 min walk from Rome Termini station. Very efficient check in, rooms comfortable and clean plenty of hot water.
Would stay again for longer.
Only one thing which might be a problem for some people, would be the stairs ,there’s no lift, but that wasn’t an issue for us.
Would’ve rated it 5 stars but the air conditioner didn’t work. Bed was super comfortable and the amenities were great. There was a bit of city noise that was noticeable due to having windows open. The facilities were very secure and the staff were friendly. Would stay here again.
The hotel itself was new, very clean, rooms were huge. Very close to subway and busses.
cons: away from the touristy parts of Rome and so felt a bit unsafe especially in the evening when walking. We tried sleeping with windows open but the streets were very loud. Air conditioning is 5 euro
Beds were hard. Free breakfast was advertised but not available for our stay.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Terrible customer service, unhelpful.
Arrived to hotel and discovered that you need to climb stairs to reception despite listing as having a lift. I booked this as I have a disability and stairs are very difficult for me. Pointed this out to man on reception who told me they let people know when they buzz up about how to get the lift via courtyard, had to explain my disability and that I require a lift. Later in the evening I needed in to reception and had to call to be let in as they hadn't given me a key ( you have to go out into the communal stairwell to access the lift). Was lectured on lift use and to only use with luggage and again had to tell staff I have a disability. On wanting to check out I called reception to ask to be let in to return keys etc. I was told to just leave them in the room, which made me feel like a burden. The room was adequate for one night but beds were very hard.
