It is kind of off the beaten path with no signage. Nice clean room very secure. You have to have three keys to get to your room for three different doors. Close to the Colosseum and several good restaurants.

The owner of hostel was sweet. Massimo did not speak any English. No address on building. An Italian speaking stranger at airport called the owner for us to arrange the pickup, since no one was there as pre-requested. The hostel location was centrally located. Had to walk a few blocks to find taxi pickup.

Feels more like a B&B (minus the breakfast) as the room you stay in room inside his personal flat I originally did not get the interpretation from via the posting. You do have private bathroom and keys to the apartment and your room as well, but just was a surprise to me at this cost. Also there is no breakfast included, whats provided is a paper card, which will get you a coffee and pastry from 1 of 3 nearby cafes, only issue was many places must do this and the cards have a start/end time, So those 3 cafes had seas of people the lines wanting their “free breakfasts”. I took the loss and walked a little further and just had ti pay for mine, only sharing so you don’t go expecting breakfast. The man who owns it appears very sweet, but I would not personally stay here again. Also if you dont speak Italian, he solely writes to you in Italian but has difficulty with responses via google translate. Location is close to collosium but kind of out of the way from all the other major spots . Also specific way to enter building is a kind of alley which for some may have sketched out but I felt safe. The room does have some charm but keep in mind old building with old windows so if light sleeper definitely bring earplugs. Overall bed was clean and comfortable Save money and use uber to get to here. The owner is the “shuttle” he isn’t able to get to the spots as easily, and unless you speak Italian it may take you over 45 min to find him like it did me. Uber was only 5 euro more
