"Great hotel, all things considered. Located within UBC and about 25 min east side of Vancouver downtown during non-peak hours. We were apprehensive about the fact that this is in fact associated with a college dorm. But the price was reasonable compared to the average option and the reviews were (justifiably) good. The actual hotel is a modern, separate building from the student dorms. We stayed in a "Signature Studio" which is well equipped with new appliances including, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, convection burners, oven, microwave, and coffee station. There was a LG smart TV (we did have trouble logging into any of the streaming apps, I think the IoT wifi signal in our specific room wasn't great). The bathroom was comfortable, with a detachable shower and a glass door, which I prefer. Parking was 25 CAD a night and plenty available. A few very minor inconveniences: - As mentioned we couldn't use all the features on the TV - The light from the hallway comes through the bottom of the door, but can easily be blocked with clothing or towel - The entrance to get to the lobby can be difficult to find. Google maps directed us to the back of the main dorms and we had to walk around half the building to find the entrance for check-in. Given how affordable and nice the room itself was, I'd probably give a 4.5 stars rating, only due to the above mentioned inconveniences. Will definitely consider this option first, next time we're in Vancouver."
