"Luna Lodge is a simply remarkable place to be and not just explore, but join, the jungle. There’s a sense of beautiful surrender found there, beginning with the trek to the lodge itself. "There were so many monkeys every day. We saw toucans Maciel’s, spider monkeys and capuchins. There are so many trees and flowers that makes this place so beautiful. The staff were so lovely and helped us organize tours and taxis while we were there. The beach is right in front and this area of Costa Rica is so beautiful. "

"Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. "

"The view from the room overlooking the bay is very nice, but the room has no air conditioning/heat pump so it is hard to enjoy as it is very hot. There also are no screens in the bathroom so every night there are many insects, several of them are quite large. It made for a much less enjoyable stay especially at this price point. At the very least, I would suggest they install screens so that there won’t be as many insects."
