"Stayed here on the way to NJ coming up from Florida. Comfortable beds, clean room, efficient and friendly check in. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. fast friendly service nice menu, good food. If I had to say anything negative it was about breakfast before we left. Server was not nice, order took a long time, order was incorrect and cold. Overall great experience!"

"We stayed in the Edgar Allen Poe suite and liked it. It was spacious and had modern conveniences even though the room and building felt like the 1880s. The area around the inn is beautiful old period homes. The adjoining Patrick Henry café had good food and its lower level pub had a Cheers feel to it."

"A real classic! Wonderful stay in beautiful room, convenient for The Capitol, local restaurants etc. Only downside was valet parking we hadn’t budgeted for. Great breakfasts in restaurant on site. Delightful staff"

"Great facilities, easy access, friendly staff. Three issues: periodic noises coming from the HVAC vent/facilities. Confusion about lack of housekeeping (including replenishing coffee) associated with tag on the door. Suggest you separate that from the tag for do not disturb. Extra payments disguise the price. WiFi should be built into the room price. Overnight parking and valet service is too expensive. "
