Location was excellent, grocery store around the corner and having a well equipped kitchen was helpful. Quick walk to everywhere we wanted to go, free parking was competitive, but accessible. Once construction completes next door, it will be much better, but they only worked business hours, so it wasn’t terribly disturbing. I would stay here again on a return trip.

Great room with convenient self check-in and check-out. Central location easy to access. The only drawback is there is no designated parking and street parking in the area was challenging to find.

The communication prior to our stay was excellent. Staff were quick to respond to questions and concerns which made the stay much easier. There was some confusion with the check in instructions, but the staff were quick to help us and reset codes. A housekeeper inside the building was very helpful with getting into the flat. The only thing we were confused with was the oven use, there were no instructions, and any departure instructions.

Not everything listed in the description was in the room & it was never corrected despite communicating the issue. However, I’ll give credit for quick responses even though the issue was not resolved. Although it’s not a huge deal, we did not find parking in front of the building any of the nights: we parked around the block. On the plus side, there is a Bonus grocery store next to the building & the city center is about a 15-20min walk. The surrounding area has food & gas options and is nice.

The unit's bed was a Murphy bed, which is a pull down bed stored vertically against the wall. I was not aware that was what I would be sleeping on. It is about the same as a sofa bed. Thin, hard mattress that was not very comfortable. B18's listing should make this more clear. The unit's listing also promised the use of laundry facilities. Upon arrival, no information was provided on how or where to access the laundry room. I booked this room and packed light with the expectation that I could wash clothes during my stay. After much back and forth, B18 staff told me the laundry room key was located in a key box near the unit's door but no key was there. I was not able to use the laundry room during my stay because of this. The laundry room was not even located in the building. B18 should have better information and access for advertised amenities. Also there was insufficient coffee pods in the room and they were the worse coffee pods I have ever tried. The coffee tasted like brown water. No flavor at all. The B18 staff was responsive via the Expedia app to questions and concerns and the kitchen amenities were good. There was also free parking in front of the building with a limited number of stalls that was nice. Overall, I would probably not stay here again.

Staff were communicative throughout our stay and responded to messages promptly, which we appreciated. However, the issues we raised, such as the broken shower rail and missing bedside light, were never resolved. Maintenance was scheduled for the day before we left, but no one showed up. Overall, while communication was good, it was disappointing that the issues were not fixed during our stay.

Highly recommended

Great location for staying in downtown Reykjavik. Easy to find free parking right outside the building. Within walking distance to downtown restaurants and attractions. Quick last-minute booking. Quiet and clean room. Highly recommended.
