"A modern hotel in a neighbourhood that's still developing, up a rather steep hill but not more than 10 minutes’ walk from the old town. Entry to the room and hotel relied on a four-digit code you had to put into a keypad, which also activated the electricity. "From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very welcoming host. He was always available whenever we had questions. The villa was absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the pool quickly became the kids’ best friend throughout the holiday. The old town of Rethymno was just a 20-minute drive away.
