"Our stay at the Residence Inn Lynchburg was very nice. I love the apartment style rooms. Has everything you need. The hotel and grounds were clean and I felt safe with the well lit parking lot. Free hot breakfast was delicious. The staff was very nice. And there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
If I’m back in this area I would definitely stay at Residence inn again."
"It was so elegant for a economic hotel option. The desk staff told me that it was family owned and one of one. There are no others very well kept. Although I did have to come out to the desk during breakfast because there was no milk for the cereal. The kitchen staff member was actually out at the front desk talking to the desk clerk and immediately apologized saying," my bad! That's on me sir. I'll go get the milk right away!" He apologized at least four times and I told him once was enough!"

"Well, here's the deal - you definitely get what you pay for. Sometimes you get lucky...this was not really one of those times. It's a Super 8 - so, you roll the dice. My personal experience was a comfortable bed, sheets were clean. Pillows were fine. The room was non-smoking, but it definitely had a stale smoke smell to it. I had the window cracked open most of my stay to air it out. The desk chair was a curved wooden chair, but the "back" was cracked where it curved to the "seat"...so if I...
"Spent two nights because we were in the area to purchase a car. Very pleasantly surprised - the online photos didn't do justice to how lovely the hotel is. Old shoe factory and they paid homage to shoes everywhere you looked (but very tastefully done). Very clean and the staff was friendly and competent. Within walking distance to the town and other restaurants. There was a nice paved walking/biking path along the James River below the hotel - they supplied bikes and it was a beautiful ride....
