Well located. Super family that runs the place. Very interested in helping with meals, plans or restaurants. 1/3 the cost of Holiday Inn and safe. If you come after dark, let them know when you’re arriving and they’ll look for you. Great place, will stay there again.

everything at Las Hortensia's was amazing. it's close to the airport, and the grounds are very clean and beautiful. the host is amazing. she scheduled a airport pickup for us, and arranged a taxi for the next day. my daughters loved the dogs on the property, and so did I and my wife. I highly recommend staying here, it exceeded my expectations.

Convenient for airport, clean and tidy, rooms quite small, and all located around central communal area so could be noisy if people leaving early or arriving late. Staff happy to arrange early taxi to airport and we’re up waiting to ensure we were up and wait for taxi with us.

This was an amazing stay, especially for my early morning flight. The hosts were respectful, informative me, and they made the place feel like home. They have a beautiful dining/common area. We stayed for the night to be close to the airport. I highly recommend this stay. The staff were wonderful, they received us like family. They were very accommodating and flexible. They served us breakfast in the morning and it was very enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Conveniently close to the airport and they can help with taxi arrangements to the airport. My recommendation is to bring a snack if you arrive late since you may not be able to go shopping at night. I will return next time I’m in Quito.

The owner met us at the gate and was so hospitable. We were running late and hadn't eaten dinner, so within 15- minutes the owner ordered a great dinner for us. The place was very pretty, and the beds were comfortable. We were just there for the night because we were catching an early flight to the Galapagos. I would gladly stay there again!!

Las Hortencias was welcoming and comfortable. It was our first time in Ecuador knowing little spanish. Elizabeth and her family's generosity and kindness made our visit a positive one. After waiting for two hours to get through migrations at the airport and with no way of notifiying Elizabeth, the shuttle transportation was still waiting for us and welcoming. The place is clean and comfortable with a beautiful sunroom to eat breakfast in. They also have a friendly and happy dog!

Great Service. People was nice. Thank you. But the bathroom was smelly and the whole room was with this bathroom smell. The sliding shower door came out as soon as I started moving it to close it once I get in the bathroom. Other than that was a nice place.

Close to the airport

I arrived at check-in time on a Sunday. I wanted lunch (almuerzo) at a nearby cafe. Unfortunately, there were none open. Settled for a bag of chips at a nearby tienda. I wanted dinner (Cena) and the hotel provided a home cooked traditional meal for a price. So only one choice. The hotel is clean, bed was comfortable and the staff aims to please. I will stay there again but a little more prepared in the future.

What a gem

Absolutely wonderful property! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. I booked very last minute and late at night and the owner had arranged for a taxi to pick me up from airport after midnight. I was the only one staying there which is a shame since this place is such a deal. Lovely 6 bedroom home, comfortable beds, brand new bathroom. Nice common area. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Water coffee and tea available. Loved the dogs and cats on the property and it was gated and secured. I wish I hadn’t booked at the Hilton already because I don’t understand how that place is charging $188 when this place was $50. I would stay here again and again. Plus I love supporting women businesses and locals.

Second time staying here and it was a great stay. Well looked after by this charming family. Very convenient as well, being so close to the airport. Forget about the big chain hotel and enjoy the Ecuadorian hospitality!
