The hot springs are beautiful and the room was modem and clean. We slept well in the comfy bed, and loved the rural vibe of the area.

We enjoyed sitting in the hot side of the hot springs, would of liked the other pool to be a little warmer. Having more options for food and drinks The deposit was more than the room, yikes. I was taken back on that, for that price they could do a little upkeeping. The night we stayed there was a couple arguing very loudly I was ready to call the police but someone opened there door and they quieted up. After those things it's a nice little place to get away to. Everyone we talked to were so nice the young ladies so polite and helpful.

Enjoyable experience
It was a lot of fun for me and my two small children. The water park was awesome and the room was comfortable. Front desk service was very kind and helpful. And we got our room and water park passes for an amazing price. We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area.

We stayed in the cabin it was a great get away. It would have been nice to have access to the showers or a shower, even a KOA has a shower facility to be able to use as needed. Otherwise the staff were very friendly.

Reserving through Hotels.com i did not know the the hot pools are closed on Sunday. The staff were kindly and let me soak anyway. Small electric heater did not warm the cabin. The manager, with a sweet disposition came with larger heater that took care of it. I like the folks there. Awesome mountain country, beautiful place to be.

Charming Simplicity
The cabin was simple yet perfect. It was a nice mix of elegant and rustic, and the included hot springs swim was a great way to relax at the end of a long day.

Ok stay, faced cleaning charges?!
Stay was ok, nice front desk. Room was not cleaned well, mostly the toilet and tub were not clean. Checked out after 11 hrs, was charged $50 for a cleaning fee? I was told there were 3 towels left really dirty and trash all over, smashed grape into the floor. I ate Wendy’s the night I got there and checked out by 830 am, no craziness was had, thrust me. I checked in after a 50 mile race down the road, I was barely able to walk. Very interesting…Also no phone service for Tmobile fyi.

I couldn't relax I was getting attacked by flies I don't know where they were coming from but I probably killed about 20 flies in my room. Also the walls could use a good scrubbing, there is either food or boogers on the walls. Other then that the room was spacious bed was comfortable.

Not very clean.
The room was nice and comfortable but not very clean. The floors were dirty and the shower floor was extremely nasty. It was gross enough that I could smell that it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

Wonderful little hotel for all ages. We have teenagers, who liked the pools but wished the big slides had been working. Hubby and I lounged in the 2nd hottest pool for probably too long. The room itself is brand new and my only issue was how long it took to get hot water.

I loved that it was located in a beautiful area. There was a lot that I didn't care for. I requested a handicap room. It was accessible from the outside but, once inside, there were no handicap amenities like bars in the shower and near the toilet. The coffee pot was disgusting and there were no stir sticks for coffee. We had no kind of maid service after being there for a night and no coffee cups for the following morning. When trying to acquire said items on Sunday morning, the front office was all locked up. We will never stay at this location again. Quite a shame because it has a lot of potential.

Nice updates, just needs a little care!
The place has been newly renovated and is attached to a fun water park which we enjoyed taking our baby to. I’m not sure if the rooms are rented out that often because it felt like it had been vacant for a while due to the cleanliness of it. The window sill had hundreds of dead bugs in it, the drain in the shower had someone else’s hair in it and the floors were very dusty and dirty so we ended up tracking it onto the bed. Overall, the place was good, just needs a little TLC before guests stay in them.

We rented 3 rooms and the rooms were nice and updated way nicer then expected. The beds were awesome. The house keeping needs some attention. The rooms weren’t super clean but clean enough we didn’t complain. Parking lot is big with lots of light. No cameras. You are definitely in the middle of nowhere. Super quiet place. The pools close way early 9:00PM!! We asked them at the office if we could stay in the pools later because we had rooms there. We got a load and SHARP NO. I wish there were some Pool benefits for getting a room there. But sadly at 9:00pm they said get out. Next time we go we will just go for the pools and not stay the night.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay
Overall I really enjoyed my stay the only frustrating thing was that anything before 11 AM we had no assistance whatsoever.Which is an a dealbreaker but I’m used to hotels having some assistance in the morning. The room was really nice we had a jetted tub that was a very good size. We had a lot of fun using their Hot Springs. I had a good time and I will be coming back with my kids next time :-)

Staying at the Riverdale Resort is a unique choice for Preston Idaho and the Cache Valley for one reason only, they have a natural geothermal hot spring. I recommend a visit whether you book a room or not. The accomodations are spartan. The maintenance and visual cleanliness are lacking. Our room's towl rack shows a history of being detached from the wall as soon as a weighted item was applied. Hard water stains on the bathroom floor and the placement of the trash bin next to the toilet shows evidence of poor santitation (dried urine spray on black plastic isnt hard to see). The room has a large jetted tub but the jets do not work. No breakfast or room service. Nearest food is in Preston. The resort signage says no smoking. However we witnessed 2 evenings when groups were smoking in and near the smaller hotter pool. When alerted the young front desk attendant i realized that infirmation scared her (scared to confront the smokers) and nothing happened, we went back to our room but from the noise the party went on for another hour. The area is rustic and idyl if you are looking for a great opportunity to sit in the warm therapeutic water and gaze at the stars and moon. The redeeming factor was the bed. I slept very well. The bed was a foam matress. Don't expect sitting unless you want to sit on the bed. These rooms need a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. We found garbage and a baby bottle under the bed, cobwebs in the room corners. Clean the hard water from the sink spout

Nice property. The hot springs were nice in the cool fall air. Went on a getaway with my wife and enjoyed it greatly. Will be bring our children next month. The property also has camping spots and small cabins as well.

I accidentally booked for a day we couldn’t go and they wouldn’t work with us and give our money back. Ended up paying for a room when didn’t even use! Not impressed. Expedia also said they would “try” to get our money back. That didn’t happen. Won’t be using them anymore.

When we reached the resort at around 10 PM on 06/23, the place was completely shut down. All lights were out and no sign of anyone working or staying there. Then we saw a sign on the office door stating that the place is closed on Sunday. We tried to call the given number but they didn't pick our call. Finally, we had to drive to a nearby town and get a hotel room there.

Property was understaffed. Front desk clerk was a teenager with no problem solving skills. Toilet was clogged upon arrival. Maintenance man didn’t know how to fix. Had to go outside and use the pool toilet facilities during our stay. Room was freshly remodeled but water took 15 min to warm up for a warm shower. One star out of five. Extremely disappointing property.
