While I love all the rooms I’ve stayed in, this time we were upgraded to a tower room with a very large outdoor terrace equipped with a variety of furniture and a large hot tub. "Unfortunately, our stay was a little disappointing. Palazzo Columbo is an annex, away from all the hotel’s facilities, which was not made clear on either Expedia or the hotel’s own website. I’m also not convinced we received the room category we booked. The room had a broken toilet seat, and given the annex has only four rooms, basic amenities like a kettle and coffee maker should be provided. "We had a great time in Gallipoli and it was in part to the wonderful family that took care of us as if we were their family. The owners Raffaella, Giuseppe and Ferdinando were amazing. They cooked a wonderful breakfast in the morning which they served on the terrace with amazing views. They brought us back and forth from our car to the hotel whenever we asked. "The hotel is very modern and the rooms are very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very nice. A lovely swimming pool to relax during the day but the sun beds are limited. The hotel location is quiet as it’s a few miles away from Gallipoli, however we appreciated this as it is a lively place.
