Over a quiet drink, we loved the view out across the bay. We couldve been anywhere in the world.

Although the hotel is in the middle of being renovated there was no Building material or dust. The staff were very friendly and dealt with any issues (t.v. not working was changed straight away for another) quickly and cheerfully.

Well positioned to explore Pt Lincoln
The Pier Hotel is well situated in Pt Lincoln across the road from the beach. I didn't have a car so was reliant upon walking. Good shopping and walking trails close by. Day trips can be organised through the Visitor Information Centre. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was rustic overlooking the water. The communal kitchen provided included Continental Breakfast and a microwave to heat meals if desired. Will definitely stay there again.

The room was very old. Toilet smelt like sewage and bathroom was very old. The bathroom was so old it even had the old cord to turn on the fan and light. The bathroom vanity was located outside of the bathroom which was very inconvenient. Front door had a 5cm gap at the bottom which meant we could hear people outside our room and probably vice versa which meant no privacy with our conversations. That particular night, we had a drunk person knocking outside our door and we could hear them cause a lot of ruckus in the shared kitchen area and down the hallway which led to a sleepless night. Location is the only good thing about this hotel.

Comfortable Stay.
Check In was easy. The Room was clean and comfortable and quite spacious for a couple. The complimentary continental breakfast provided was also very welcome as you could help yourself at any time particularly if you are leaving early.

To me a raging disco with low frequency sound waves doof doofing through the whole building (because no wall can stop a low frequency sound) until 3am is not a suitable place to sleep while travelling long distance. So I won’t be recommending this style of accommodation. Have requested a partial refund but the desk clerk said it may not be forthcoming because I booked on Expedia. Waiting.

Enjoyed the stay staff were friendly and were able to provide information as requested, room was what i would expect of a pub hotel no fancy gimics. Though the only downside was the lack of clothes hangers in the closet as there were only two and one was damaged.

Very happy with the cleanliness, staff friendly.. room very cold even with oil heater. When having to go to shared bthroom at night. Window in hall way doesnt close so hall way and bathrooms freezing cold

Pro: Good location. Free breakfast - freezer full of bread, various spreads, cereals, milk & juices. Free parking at the back of hotel/pub. Fridge in the room. Cons: dusty room & on furniture. No heater in bathroom. Not so logic hand basin location. Very slow shower water heating up, but after that it's good. Sound proof can be an issue due to wooden floor & wall.

The room had a feel of a caravan park cabin (just an observation). Needs a towel rail and hand towel next to hand basin.

We were not told previously on wotif that there was loud music until 3am in the morning and screaming people. We would not have stayed that night at the pier. We are retired and was not impressed

Where to begin....Balcony room with air-conditioning and Sea views....Had been promised air=con, turned out it was 2 pedestal fans on the floor...not bad when they said there were ceiling fans..?? No view because we were stuck behind a huge tree...and small window had a small balcony if u climbed out window...were told we were unable to use Balcony?? food was a bit ordinary 2...we were asked to change rooms 3 times in 2 days, to juggle other guests..1st room you could swing a cat round, and hit each wall...it also had a view of the back of Hotel, where cans , bottles, and old tyres were stored...

sorry i wrote it all on the wotif review as well..overall my step sons loved it /having free run in the community kitchen was a new thing for them!..our room had the best view over the harbour..it was a full moon too, the hotel is not modern but the friendly staff and relaxed family atmosphere made up for all the lack of 'slick'!!

Pier Hotel
The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure I understood and knew where everything was that I needed to know. Room was very basic and old, beds were clean and comfortable, view of the ocean was lovely, especially the early morning sunrise. Some guests were noisy coming to their rooms, but didn't last long. Shower was argumentative to get a decent water flow. Supermarkets and a servo are close by, beach is just across the road. Rooms were upstairs, but the floor was not accessible to everyone without your room key. Parking for the car was behind the hotel in their own car park so didn't have to leave car on the street. I would stay again for short stays.

Ideal, No fuss stay
We stayed here to go shark diving. It’s well priced and had everything you would need, including a continental breakfast in the price. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t help enough. The rooms are basic, but clean and the best part is the hotel is closely situated to beautiful national parks and bases for exploring. I would stay here again!!!

Great staff, average hotel.
Warning to people on shark dives, people who book a hotel room with the internation of sleeping or that need to be up early. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are basic but clean, bathroom is dated but functional. Do not stay here Friday or Saturday nights if you want to sleep before 3.30am, I booked this hotel in conjunction with a shark cage dive, we were being picked up at 6.15am so got about 2hrs sleep because of a DJ that was banging out & I do mean BANGING out tunes until 3am, then revellers carrying on after. All good fun & fine if that’s what your after, would have been nice to be made aware prior to booking. As I said, Staff are great, I got a full refund & stayed in a quieter hotel for the second night.

So close to the beach!
The hotel was clean and comfortable at a basic level. That was ok because we were taking care not to spent too much money. We sat in the Pelican Lounge and had a couple of drinks whilst watching the happenings on the beach and the jetty. Very nice.

Well priced
Had a nice view of the beach. Great location. No air con but wasnt needed. Didnt get to hang at the bar of eat at the restaurant but will make time next trip. The TV in the room was a little high and because of the angle was difficult to see the picture. WiFi didnt work. Was accidentally charged twice for my nights stay which i picked up a couple days later looking at my statement but was fixed within a couple hours after an email.

Nice hotel in centre of town
We stayed here 2 nights after arriving in Port Lincoln earlier than expected. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of town, easily walkable to everything. Free customer car park round the back. Free wifi which was decent at first but on the second day didn't work so well. The kitchen was ok and the 24 hour breakfast was a nice idea, although when we went for some cereal before checkout there was only 2 bowls,one of which was left dirty by the sink so some more bowls would be handy. The staff are friendly and there's a nice bar to sit and people watch. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
