"Catherine is very helpful and kind, watched our luggage for a few hours and lent us an umbrella. Location was about 20 minutes walk from the entrance to the old city. We were lucky enough to have one of the large rooms, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathtub was amazing! The hotel is bit difficult to find as the signage is very discrete."

"The hotel & grounds are beautiful. The swimming pool is positioned privately with views of the hotel & church. There’s lots of outside shaded seating areas in the garden with good bar service. The restaurant is excellent and good value for the standard with lots of ‘extras’. I’d recommend the wine pairing at €50 pp for 3 glasses, it’s worth it. "The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly. The pool and Jacuzzi are unheated as Americans. We did not realize that Jacuzzis in France were unheated. We were put off by this until we discovered that this is pretty much a universal thing in France that Jacuzzis are unheated. "When we checked in we were told there was no hot water and they had booked us into their sister hotel (which was not a 5 star hotel!). Staff were apologetic and accommodating but it wasn’t a great experience and when we asked for a delayed check out (from 11 to 12) we were refused by the hotel we were in on the advice of the originally booked hotel. Because it was prepaid through Expedia there was nothing they were willing to do re refunding the difference in rooms. The breakfast was very good...

"You are asking about the staff? There was nobody there when we arrived. I could not find my reservation number because of poor phone connection! It took us 15 minutes to check in and other guests were struggling too! Not a good system and Expedia should let us know that there nobody at the Hotel when you arrive, that we needed our reservation number, not just our names and to be ready for a machine."

"The hotel is ideally situated to walk to the castle in 15 minutes in one direction as well as a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the town. The staff were really helpful and friendly, making our stay very pleasing. Our room had a small balcony, which looked over the pont vieux, the river as well as part of the castle.
