Quinta Dona Matilde

10/10 Excellent

"Quinta Dona Mathilde is a true gem. Small and personal and historical. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The charming location, the rooms, the wine tasting, the delicious evening 'snacks' on the terrace overlooking the river, the pool, the kind staff. This is the place for travelers who appreciate unique and thoughtfully designed stays."

Douro Royal Valley Hotel & SPA

10/10 Excellent

"An unforgettable experience in the Douro Valley. The views from the property are simply stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special — personalized touches throughout made it feel like far more than just a hotel stay. The chef's dinner was a true highlight, and the wine tasting experience was expertly guided. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the more rural location means a bit more travel time to reach — but that's also part of what makes the Douro so peaceful and worth visiting. A beautiful, memorable stay we'd happily repeat."

Quinta Da Estrada Winery Douro Valley

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at Quinta da Estrada was simply wonderful. The vineyard property is gorgeous and the room was fabulous. We had the Loft - with an amazing outdoor patio offering panoramic views of the Quinta and surrounding landscape. We had dinner in their restaurant both nights, including the wine tasting dinner. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect place to stay for our first trip to the Douro Valley."
