Plaza de los Coches

The Clock Tower, or "Torre de Reloj", is the main city gate of the historic center of Cartagena. Originally known as Boca del Puente (The Mouth of the Bridge), this entrance to the fortified city once utilized a drawbridge to cross the surrounding moat.

A pendulum clock was added in 1871, and replaced with a more superior Swiss clock in 1934 which is still in operation to the present day.
