"We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the dive shop we used . Only 11 rooms with a nice pool and lovely lush vegetation on the back side .We even saw a toucan right at the pool as well as many other birds ! The only fly in the ointment for us was our air conditioner seemed to have a mind of it's own . It did work but started running water out of the unit inside our room and right over my nightstand which soaked my phone and kindle . All good in the end !"

"We love love LOVED our stay here!!! Just thinking about our time here makes me want to be back in Costa Rica!! I thought it might not be our kind of place - and I also didn't realise the Corcovado day trip boats could pick you up from there - but I chose to spend a couple of nights there so that we'd be half-way along the Drake Bay Trail. But it actually turned out to be one of our favourite stays in Costa rica (and we traveled the country for a month!). Firstly, it was right on a beautiful beach great for swimming, handily positioned on the free trail so you could more easily walk both ways, and the accommodation was super clean with excellent aircon. But the hosts are what make me almost cry wanting to be back - such a lovely lovely family! When we got there we weren't sure where we were and a teenage boy came across us. I think we were a bit early and he said they were just cleaning the room (honestly the whole place was beautifully spotless!) and then proudly showed us his church and his school (1 teacher, 4 students), both right on the beach (the cabins are right off the beach behind them). That night there was a opossum and the family called us to see - and then bought us some large turtles to show us from the creek! The next night when we had a knock on the door we were very excited and rightly so - Christian wanted to know if we wanted to go for a walk & see scorpions etc! Soo cool! We also had wonderful (complimentary) breakfasts and gorgeous dinners! Take me back! "

"We stayed a week at Corcovado & Drake Inn. The room was excellent. The pool was a great in the afternoon/evening after a day of adventuring. Sol at the front desk was amazingly helpful and patient in arranging tours and getting our breakfast orders. Robin who handled our breakfast was a friendly start of the day and also great at giving off the beaten track recommendations for activities. I definitely recommend Drake Inn."

"Was exactly what we needed for the circumstance. Inexpensive overnight spot to sleep, so as to be ready for snorkeling tour the next morning, along with a bonus view of the ocean. Staff super accommodating on holding on to our luggage after check out. Some unique notes: - Getting to the area def needs all-wheel drive - Meals aren't included, but can be purchased if ordered in advance - No front desk check-in/check-out (noted in the description), just need to communicate with the staff over the app or Whatsapp - Very flexible staff"

"We were upgraded to a very nice room overlooking the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our stay included breakfast and dinner- excellent food. Drake Bay is a remote area so it was nice to have everything provided by the hotel. When we took a day tour to Corcovado National Park, the boat picked us up at the beach in front of the hotel. "

"This a beautiful property with rustic cabins. There are amazing views as it is high up. We saw many birds from our balcony including green parrots and toucans. It is quite a climb from the road, definitely not accessible, but close to Drake Bay beach, a grocery store and several restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We pre-arranged a tour to Corcovado National Park through the hotel and it went great. You can order breakfast the day before and have it specially prepared for you at whatever time you need it. It was very good and plentiful. Some drinks are available to purchase in the reception area where you can sit and look out over the beautiful bay. We bought a few beers and some water. Very nice place."

"Wonderful, accommodating, and attentive staff!! Beautiful lodge and rooms. Jungle and gorgeously landscaped flowering grounds surround the lodge. The food was delicious and in ample amounts. We did the snorkeling trip to Cano island and the hike in Corcovado park. Saw lots of wildlife on both, though even at the lodge we saw Macaws, a Toucan, Capuchin monkeys, and a large snake climbing a tree! "The welcome by being collected on the beach and having our luggage taken to the room was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and the view was gorgeous. We were disappointed with the general service, particularly in the hotels restaurant. We booked a table on the first evening and it wasn't ready when we arrived, with the staff seeming stressed at our arrival. We were sat down 15 minutes late and the food took over an hour to arrive, during which time we were not visited once by the staff and the tables around us were left dirty. This was despite the restaurant being quite empty close to the end of service. There wasn't many staff available on site to talk to, and it felt like quite an inconvenience to them when you had a request. This does not include the girl who was volunteering with the hotel who was very helpful."
