"We stayed for 4 nights in June. The hotel is close to many shops and restaurants, and conveniently located above a small grocery store and delicious boulangerie! We unfortunately missed our room cleaning twice due to it being so late in the day. The room was equipped with a kettle and some tea, with coffee and soft drinks available for purchase at the front desk (along with additional glassware), and a mini fridge that did not get very cold. For a few nights, this hotel was just what we needed...

We stayed on the 3rd floor and there was a very unattractive stain on the floor. There were inconsistencies with the staff helpfulness. "The staff at Le Phenix are amazing . Always friendly. I felt comfortable with them. They are gracious for we English speakers who have less than rudimentary French (I practiced! Really I did!) The rooms have good AC if necessary. The restaurant associated with the hotel is shockingly good. Such a wonderful lunch! We did not have the breakfast buffet because we eat so light, we did not find value. I do wish there was a hot water kettle in the room. Beds are comfortable. Our room was spacious....

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very kind. The location is incredibly convenient and the rooms are quiet and clean. The only complaint would be that the shower door leaked, but otherwise everything was perfect. The all day snacks and coffee in the bar area was appreciated. The breakfast was somewhat small but had everything you would need to start the day. I would stay here again for sure!"

"Decent location, nice staff, strange decor/style which seemed to really date the property. The air conditioning barely cooled down the room. The bathroom curtains are very sheer and so it was extremely hot in the bathroom, even at 10am with the blazing sun on a high floor. It was 30 degrees C during our 1 night stay in May so quite miserable sleeping/showering."
