"Our room was perfect. It was perfectly clean, spacious, beautifully furnished with a view of the canal. The breakfasts were deliciously prepared with care. They kept the downstairs stocked with free cold water and various sodas and good wines at a very low cost. It was an absolute joy to experience this hotel that Katy and Olivier obviously put in so much of themselves to remodel from an old home and that they run with such care and detail. "We just stayed one night and it was in a great location. It was right across from the medieval fortress. My room was very nice and clean. I had some trouble with the heat and patio door, but the receptionist attended to the matter immediately and solved the issue. We enjoyed the lounge area to meet with family and enjoyed cocktails and a snack. There didn’t seem like too many guests were in the hotel as we had the lounge to ourselves which was nice and almost private. Breakfast was...

"It was bitterly cold… And I was delayed by wintry weather in Manchester Airport and arrived much later than expected… The hotel staff responded by email to my email telling them that I would be late… And had prepared my room with an oil filled radiator pumping away at 24 C when I arrived….wonderful service …for which many thanks to the courteous and considerate staff."
