Quality Inn near Mesa Verde

"I've always used this facility when I come down to see the Great Sand Dunes. This visit nice however, there have been some changes since my last stay. The swimming pool area was pretty dark after the sun set as there are not many lights in the area. The water slide and the jacuzzi were inoperable also. I had really looked forward to using the jacuzzi after a day at the Sand Dunes hiking. As to the staff, they were amazing! They were informative, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was light but adequate. I should also say that the gym was nice to have access to 24 hrs. Overall, I would stay here again, but I hope that all of the amenities are functioning when I return."

"We stayed a few days before Memorial Day weekend, and the end of their “off season.” Our room was fairly clean but the appliances (small fridge and coffee maker) did not work due to a bad outlet. Many of the sites were closed due to the off season and road repairs. The outside lights by the rooms were too bright for any sort of appreciation of their recognition as a Dark Sky Destination. Food in the Lodge was good but the bathrooms in the Lodge and Terrace needed some cleaning attention. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"There is renovation work being done on this motel presently. We were not warned about this before our stay. Apart from this there were other issues that were not caused by the renovation work. 1. The breakfast choice was limited, some items were not available. 2. The staff were very slow to replenish items on the breakfast buffet even after asking. 3. The spa did not work. 4. House keeping was very late in the day, after 4pm. 5. Contractors were sitting around reception in their dirty clothes. 6. Contractors were sitting having breakfast in the dining area before 9.30am. This area should be reserved for guests. 7. The corridors were in a very dirty state."
