"No problems with staff, cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel. Love the free breakfast, not gourmet but was ok. Love the free parking but I believe it should always be included in your hotel fee.
The negative side for me is I don’t understand what has happened to good, old-fashioned friendly service. Every time we walked in or out of the hotel we were the ones saying hello or have a nice day to the staff. They were for the most part friendly back. No one asked where we were visiting from, if we needed assistance finding our way around or offered any points of interest to check out or restaurants to try. No extra effort to make us want to return to your hotel. Seemed like the staff was just filling time, collecting a pay check. In my business and job I want the customers to know that I truly appreciate them being there and the only reason I am successful and getting a paycheque is because of them.
My final huge beef with the method of operations and way your hotel is conducting business is the way you charged my card full amounts of the stay as my stay progressed. I was told by the girl at the desk that that is the way all hotels are conducting business now. In her words “in case someone decided to take off without paying.” You have my credit card number and should be checking it for funds but in the past there was always a hold of 1 or 2 hundred dollars and then the final bill was collected at check out. It’s like being guilty until proven innocent instead of reverse"
"Super bien organisé pour la reception, pour le déjeuner. Très efficace.
Ex: deux rouleaux de papier de toilette, une 2e boite de Kleenex car la première n’est pas pleine, du sucre, du beurre, de la confiture… dans la chambre. On peut aller chercher des serviettes supplémentaires dans une armoire. Accès à une grosse poubelle et un gros bac de recyclage à l’extérieur en plus de ce qui se trouve dans notre chambre."
"A place to lay your head and that’s it ! Still even then we didn’t sleep the best , the mattress cover is plastic which makes you sweat . And no shower head so your straight up getting blasted with the water comimg out of the pipe.
Train was a super cool feature , the noise of it didn’t bother me with it being so close. The gentleman was super nice by my lord dude Clean up the check in space YIKES ! Let’s just say I’m glad I checked in and not my partner or he would have been like NOPE ! To be fair thoe the room was really clean. "
"Needs an upgrade. We rented 2 rooms fo the weekend. Both were comfortable - no complaints.
One room - the lamp didn’t work properly - had to plug in/out of wall to turn it on/off.
Carpeting in main areas on stairs was filthy and very stained. Just didn’t give a great impression on overall cleanliness. Rooms were clean.
We weren’t able to make breakfast the first day - due to our own plans. The 2nd day there was a power outage overnight - where power was restored at 7:15. However they cancelled breakfast when we had come down at 8:30 -‘so we had to go out. Other restaurants in town were open.
Location is great. I would stay here again, but for the price, I would expect some improved cleanliness and repairs."
