Very friendly hotel

Just stayed one night en route to a funeral. We arrived late and the staff went out of their way to arrange food and were very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome from the outset. The hotel decor is lovely and the rooms were very nicely laid out. The beds were very comfortable with the most comfortable pillows I have ever experienced. My daughter who was in a separate room said the same. Breakfast was lovely with locally sourced food and was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and fresh

Room clean and fresh but very small, also in the eves with bare brick so to get round the bed meant hitting head and scrapping skin on bricks. Also bit of a pain for my Husband up two flights of stairs (he has COPD) my fault should ask for ground floor if no lift.

Nice, but no food available

Nice hotel, but disappointing that they were not offering food that evening without any advanced notification. Walked to another pub in the village that was so was all ok

Lovely weekend away in the countryside

Picked this as a remote weekend getaway and wasn't disappointed the hotel was lovely and had great food with a very friendly atmosphere would go again.

Wonderful place to stay

It was really lovely, we wasn't told we had to be back by a certain time as they closed their doors. It was fortunate that we rang them at that time and was able to sort something out as we was attending a wedding down the road else that would have put a downer on the lovely evening but as we sorted something out everything was really lovely. Great staff and wonderful service. Breakfast was super lovely too.

This is a great local pub with great quality boutique rooms. The food is excellent and breakfast was high quality amd you could build your own cooked breakfast. It didnt matter for us but something to be aware of is that in our room there was no door between the bathroom and bedroom so if you and your partner prefer a bit of privacy you might want to specify which room you book. Staff were friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again, particularly as a stop over on a walking holiday.

Kleines, liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit super freundlichem Eigentümer und Personal. Ein fränkischer Koch sorgt im Restaurant für leckere Gerichte. Ruhige Lage und gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Kleine aber feine Zimmer mit modernem Bad (Regenschauerdusche).

A Gem - The Village Inn, Buriton.

Chris the proprietor is a very good hotelier as reflected in his professional & personal demeanour and that if his staff. His establishment was clean & warm at all times as was the service of his staff during refreshments & dining times. One little heads-up; the side door key to let yourself in during non-opening time, did require a bit of a juggle & holding your mouth the correct way! Would I stay again at the village Inn if ever returning to Buriton? In a heartbeat. Rob. New Zealand.

Another good stay and delicious evening meal

Another good stay in one of the larger double rooms (watch out for the unexpected steps down into it though!), with a roll-top bath tub. A great location for a week-end get-away. We also enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening meal there.

A real gem

This is a fabulous place, unlike any other pub with rooms that I’ve stayed in. Luxurious rooms with very comfortable bed and good quality towels and linens. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. I hope to work in the area again so I can go back.

Nice night's stay in a character building

Hotel was a lovely stop for us on the South Downs Way. a lot of work has obviously been done on the inn in the last while and it was very clean and comfortable, with a lot of character. The price was about the same as other nights on our holiday - fairly reasonable.
