"Very convenient; very clean; very attentive staff."

"Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. A bit far from the train station, shuttle service could be improved, but taxis are not too expensive"

"Fantastic hotel with fantastic service! Our room with the semi-open air barh was wonderful, and the private onsen was lovely. The food was spectacular! We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!"

"Enjoyed our stay"

"Near to the station, big room and fair price!"

"Very welcoming, we also definitely recommend the dinner (that you have to book in advance)!"

"Excellent food, convenient location, and attentive staff; we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this century-old inn! We chose Joshuya for an authentic ryokan experience. Stay here for a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, home-style Japanese meals shared with guests, excellent public hot spring, and a location within walking distance of major historical sites and Tobu Nikko Station. "Very outstanding location and villa facilities"

"Amazing stay ,100% recommend!"

"Pleasant staff, good dinner and breakfast, quiet location a short drive from the center of Nikko."

"Great little place with a neat market in site. The convenience of the little town was great just wished it stayed open a little later"

"Wonderful stay! This hotel is a gem. The owners take great care of this property and make their guests feel welcome. We would love to stay here again."

"Friendly staff Clean hotel, excellent small onsenn"

"Convenient location for walking to the shrines, etc. The Annex is located a bit further than the first Turtle Inn, but is still a lovely establishment. Kind staff. "

"This property was very nice. Our room was typical Japanese size small partly because we had a single twin which is huge. I highly recommend getting the double twin room. In Japan a twin is more like a full or queen. The hotel buffet has something for everyone. We enjoy staying at the Tobu hotels. Our favorite is Tobu Hotel Levant in Tokyo. Utsunomiya Tobu Hotel Grande is a great stay. Its minutes walking to the Tobu-Utsunomiya Station too."

"Me gusto mucho la cena, el desayuno es bastante sencillo y limitado pero cumple con lo mínimo. Esta muy cerca de la estación. La habitación es muy pequeña pero tiene lo necesario y esta en buenas condiciones."

"A true treasure in Nikko. Located next to the world heritage and a small river, very kind and helpful staff, traditional place with onsen. Would return any time!"

"I like hotel staff and food was very good but the parking lot was very far from hotel"

"Buffet dinner with steak and tempura. Good onsen water."
