The lady who owns this hotel makes her guests feels as if they were part of her family. Although we were only staying one night, we were offered tea and cake as soon as we arrived and fruit to take with us when we left. Highly recommended family hotel.
Nice hotel
Service was best thing
We did not realise breakfast was included they made us up a banquet
Take away lunch
We would go back if in area
Also fantastic views
We read such excellent reviews of this hotel but our experience was very unfortunate. We were the only guests and our room was at the end of several long dark corridors. We couldn't find the lights and felt our way along the walls. The room was small and uninviting and when we pulled back the bedclothes there were large old bloodstains on the sheet. We had paid in advance for 3 days but left after the first night. I'm sure this is atypical and regret we cannot recommend the hotel.
The location is great, very pretty. The hotel owners were lovely people. Very welcoming. We were greeted with a complimentary drink (beer for me). The hotel was very good value for money. Very good breakfast. The downside was that the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable and the bathroom was too dark. We ate off the menu the first night and most of us thought it was great, especially the Kleftico and pork chops. The second night was not so good. There was a bbq buffet for lunch, we ate later and it tasted like it had been warmed up from lunch. However we really enjoyed our stay and would go back. Very generous gin and vodka measures!
An absolute gem of a hotel. Only 2* but what it lacks in facilities it more than makes up for in hospitality - the warmth of the owners is amazing. The evening meal (Kleftiko) was authentic and huge and sitting by a roaring log fire, eating dinner while the owners prepared crates of wild mushrooms is a memory we will hold for ever.
nice place and nice hotel. the owner was so helpful and friendly. prime location with nice balcony view. the hotel is old and vintage but its very clean and you can smell the Cleanliness in the whole way and rooms. the Wi-Fi is available in only in the reception. the breakfast was good.
Close to three rural churches or monasteries with gorgeous frescos from 12th to 15th century AD that have been designated by UNESCO as world heritage sites. Hotel with character, gracious hostess, and delicious food
So me and my family and friends stayed here this weekend as we wanted to go play in the snow on the mountains. And I'm so glad we picked here being greeted with open fire the hotel felt like a Cypriot home the manager couldn't do enough for us! The food was amazing the evening tea was a Cypriot Buffett with handpicked mushrooms omg they were lush! And the breakfast was included in the price was lovely also and set us up for the day on the snow. It is a few mile drive from Troodos but definitely worth it. We had a lovely walk through the village and looking out at the beautiful views. Will definitely be staying again in the summer time. My only 1 bad point was the pillows so bring your own but apart from that minor issue the hotel was best I've stayed in on the island

Hotel is good but Pedoulas is the star
Elyssia is a decent sized yet family owned and run hotel in the beautiful village of Pedoulas. Where service at times may lack professionalism it makes up through its charm, dinner is Cypriot home cooking and worth a try.
Rooms are basic but meet all functional needs but the Elyssia is not the reason to visit Pedoulas, its a base to explore the village/area, take in the scenery, breathe the fresh air and to relax in the peace and tranquility of the Troodos mountains
If you are intersted (and I think you should be) in something outside the modern beachresorts when visiting Cyprus this is the place to go. The location is just beautiful in the small village of Pedoulas on the sloop of Troodos mountins. The staff, the owner and her husband are lovely people who make you feel at home. In the restaurant they serve the Cyprus kitchen as its best. This is really good value for the money.
Jederzeit wieder!
How the place got such a good score is a mystery. Dark, misty, cold and with a boring breakfast. The place might sparkle in the summer time? We should have stayed across the street.
Great hospitality from the owner who also runs the whole place herself and who can be very helpful when asking for directions and things to do around the area. Clean and spacious rooms with amazing views of the Troodos mountains from the balcony.
