Decent hotel

Hotel is clean, staff are helpful and my double room was spacious, clean and comfortable. However, it’s very dated. Location is not ideal. 2 km uphill from train station and downtown/old town areas.

We were trapped in the hotel lift for over 20 minutes when the doors failed to open. Despite repeated emergency calls from inside the lift, the hotel did not arrange emergency assistance. I eventually had to call 112 myself, and the fire brigade came to rescue us. My mother became unwell while trapped and was assessed by emergency medical personnel afterwards. What was particularly disappointing was the hotel’s response: there was no proper follow-up, apology or explanation after such a serious incident. I also contacted B&B HOTELS customer service with supporting evidence but have still received no response. A very concerning experience, particularly regarding guest safety and emergency procedures.
