"The property was gorgeous and well-appointed. Margarida was a very friendly hostess. The room was very large and very quiet. It looked out into a large yard that had beautiful gardens and pool area. Our breakfast was extensive and generous. A great stay for off the beaten path-very relaxing. In a very nice town."

"This property is full of character and very clean and relaxing. The host was very friendly and made sure our stay was all taken care of. It has a calm vineyard feel. We just want to send a special thank to one of their hosts Francisco who helped us big time in an event of accident. We really appreciate your kind help and the warm hospitality. "Staff at the hotel were superb.. I read some of the comments about five star hotel in previous reviews while the hotel itself may not be a five-star the staff and the service is easily five-star… I laugh at some of the comments…. if you want little slippers and matching housecoat, look like a prince and princess, then go to Palace… the meals were suburban with the first class chef from Brazil… when I came to the restaurant bar you couldn’t want more for service and quality…. awesome place for...

"Stunning! We stayed in the 2 bed suite is the Casio de campo building…it was like staying in a millionaire decorators apartment!! Huge patio to a stunning view of the mountains/vineyards. Wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Wine tasting unparalleled!"

"Everything about this property felt special—from the stunning location and breathtaking views to the serene atmosphere, charming rooms, and outstanding amenities like the pool, hot tub, and sauna. It’s truly the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in Portugal. The owners, Paul and his wife, were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and full of local knowledge, which made the experience even more memorable. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the most peaceful retreat you could hope for."

"Beautiful farm...people were very helpful...lovely setting...and great wines and information about wines and ports. Only issue was finding the place...they do not have a sign at the entrance to the property."

"A fantastic B&B in Peso de Régua, beautiful property in the Duoro Valley. A bit of a walk to town, and would Not recommend walking as it is up on a hill and walking up will be exercise! Fine for us but not for everyone. Nestled above a beautiful river valley and in win country. Great staff to help."

"Torel Quinta da Vacaria was the most beautiful and best stay in Douro Valley. The hotel was an architectural marvel, with its state of the art spa to the most spectacular views of the river. But the best part was its amazing staff and impecable service. This had been one of the best hotels we have stayed in the world and we HIGHLY recommend it."

"Room and environs were beautiful! Staff (Daniel) very nice and helpful! I was a bit disappointed that some of the activities offered online were unavailable (bicycles). Restaurant and wine tasting experiences very disappointing tho not necessarily a reflection on the manor house itself. "

"Estadia incrível! Recepção muito atenciosa, quarto limpo e confortável, o hotel é esteticamente lindo, parece aquelas casas de filme, muito fofo! Café da manhã ótimo, lugar silencioso e super acolhedor. Parecia que tínhamos o hotel só pra gente, piscina vazia e um clima adorável. Nao tem estacionamento, mas na rua do hotel tem um supermercado onde tem convênio com o hotel e podemos colocar lá sem taxa alguma. Voltarei com certeza! "

"Beautiful location/setting. Pool was nice at end of a long day. Staff were wonderful,we had an amazing evening enjoying a dinner and wine while taking in the view on our patio. Personal touch as only five guest rooms. Breakfast in morning was included and great way to start off the day"
