Very disappointing cleanliness

Excellent hotel location and rooms. Its the fifth time we stayed at this hotel as we really like it.... BUT unfortunately the cleanliness of the facilities and rooms is terrible. We stayed at the loft rooms which are really nice and comfy but the room floor was full of beach sand. Even the bed sheets had sand on them. The veranda was like you were in a field full of dust. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and walls. Maintenance and cleaning service of this hotel needs to be upgraded as it deserves a lot more.

I’ve stayed in many places in the area, & this was the best. First for the staff including reception, restaurant, chef & bar staff. Such lovely caring, kind people . The hotel & areas are lovely modern well kept. A big lift ( I’m not keen on lifts ) so this helped. Great location near the beach, shops & strip. Would definitely return. Great half board food too!

Few teething problems when we arrived. Safe, door broken and it was not a twin room but was fixed and moved immediately. Would definitely come back but would request a room not overlooking the Main Street. Staff were all absolutely lovely. Thank you

Cool hotel in great location. Close to the beach and beautiful Fig Tree Bay. Hotel in general needs a lot of update. Room furniture is old and rusty. Patio (ground floor) doesnt have a fence so people from the road is looking at you while you sit outside. However biggest minus is breakfast. One of the poorest breakfast that I ever saw. Choice of food is very limited. Should be changed asap for the price you pay.

Rooms were lovely with nice views, great air condition and large balconies. Neighbors were really loud with music playing but hotel staff didn’t seem to react. Cleaning was horrible with excrements on the toilet seat when we arrived and blood stains on sheets which weren’t changed. Breakfast was horrible with not one item cooked or served in an appetizing manner. Coffee tasted like water and the juice wasn’t juice but rather a soft drink. Staff had attitudes which bothered us a few times, and we were checked out a day before planned by mistake so our card didn’t work. Housekeeping marched into our rooms twice while we were there sleeping without knocking first which was annoying. Pool was really lovely but the indoor pool was only open one hour a day. During this hour we couldn’t enter it so it really eas closed all day. Lifeguard seem to be bored and fooled around.

- Very bad breakfast, no fresh fruit only canned, which is terrible. No pancakes, very old coffee machine, bad coffee. The brekfast selection in general is very bad and not worth the money - No bath robes in the room, it was not available when I requested either. - One of the receptionist where not nice at all and not helpful - A lot of black hair from the cleaners in the room, like the bed, floor, bathroom and on towels - Sometimes the AC was off in the reception and hallways, very hot

I recently stayed at Protaras Plaza Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no soap in the bathroom, which was a frustrating start. We were a party of four but only received three bath towels, and despite raising this issue multiple times, the situation never improved. The towels we did receive were dirty and marked. Room service left much to be desired; the floors were left dirty, beds were not made properly, and we were often left with a folded sheet instead of a properly made bed. To make matters worse, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling and we encountered ants during our stay. The safe was also not functioning, and despite notifying the staff about a loose tap in the bathroom, it remained unfixed. The beach towel policy was unappealing, as you had to hold onto them for 2-3 days before exchanging for new ones. Breakfast was another letdown—there was no air conditioning in the dining area, making it uncomfortably hot, and the drinks were often warm and diluted. Items like cake and soutchouko were not replenished, which was disappointing. Lastly, borrowing an iron was an inconvenience, as you had to request it and return it after use. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. There are definitely better options available in the area.
