"We stayed in the Jardin Room—and it was absolutely worth the extra money. Having a balcony overlooking the square out front was unreal, and the private terrace on the other side of the room made it feel like you had your own little escape within the city. The ceilings are incredibly high, the space is generous, and the whole room blends old-world character with modern touches beautifully. It’s just a really stunning space. The service from the staff was amazing across the board—everyone we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The area around the hotel in Casco Viejo is one of the best parts of staying here. There are so many great spots for food within walking distance—everything from casual cafés to really well-done restaurants. You could easily spend a few days just trying different places around the neighborhood. The bar scene is just as good, especially the rooftop spots. Being able to grab a drink while looking out over the skyline and the water is a pretty unique experience. The history in this area is what really sets it apart. Walking through the streets, you’re surrounded by restored colonial buildings, plazas, and landmarks that give you a real sense of Panama’s past. We also did the Panama City Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, which was a great way to see more of the city in a short amount of time. We felt very safe staying in the area. It’s well-patrolled, busy, and full of people throughout the day and evening. "

"The perfect place to stay and enjoy Casco Viejo. Right on the plaza so there is a lot of activity at night. The Panama Canal museum is adjacent and very interesting to see before you to visit the canal."

"I wanted to give this hotel a higher rating; it's cute and the staff were friendly. The rooms were small but comfortable. The reason I wouldn't recommend it is the noise. There is a restaurant upstairs, a separate business, that plays loud music late at night. And within the hotel, you can hear just about everything through walls or windows, even people talking in a normal tone of voice. So unless noise doesn't bother you, pick a different option. "

"Beautiful old colonial style hotel. Lovely staff and perfect location to explore and enjoy Casco Viejo on foot. Then can Uber or book tours to explore other sites in and around Panama City. "

"Okay I knew i only did breakfast and not all inclusive but it took forever to get a drink by the pool, someone walked by maybe every 30 minutes. There's really not any activities or shows but met some friendly staff V from water aerobics and C (I think) from Karaoke. Only ordered lunch once but it was tasteless. My thermostat was broken and even after several comaints was not fixed properly so had sleep in socks was beyond freezing. Matenience made it hard to relax by the pool with the loudness from tools... hottub was cold... looks like they’re upgrading buildings and other areas. Overall staff was friendly although most spoke only minimum English and property clean but wouldn't stay again. "
