"An outstanding property; one of the best I have ever stayed at. The views are incredible, rooms are well kept and bar and restaurant are open 6a-10p. But you do need 4wd to get up the mountain on a rough road to it (faster is better) and the food is very healthy and may not be enough for everyone, but is delicious. Staff become family quickly. We'll be back."

But, I’ve also seen coati, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, a staghorn beetle, iguanas, and loads of tropical flowers and butterflies! You really doing have to go anywhere to see so much! "We had a great 6 nights at Casa Gitana, we had a lovely room with a shady private patio, our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were great. Breakfast was included and there is a restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's a short walk to the beach and many tours can be organised at the hotel. Thanks. "

"What a fabulous location. An immersive rainforest experience, with a beautiful view from our balcony. You could hear a variety of birds singing. It was music to the ears and you really felt connected with nature. If you ever decide to come to Uvita, this is the place to stay. The natural materials used in the accommodation complemented the surroundings. Very pleasing to the eye all around."

"Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Extremely attentive and friendly. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge "
