we absolutely loved the stay at this hotel. it was roomy, cosy and very relaxing. we would defikitely come back. there were markets, entwetainment in the streets and lovely beaches. the staff was very friendly and warm hearted. we can only recommend this hotel for duture guests!!

Our stay of 4 nights was excellent, room with a private patio amazing place to sit and relax after busy day at beach or at night to enjoy a drink or cigarette. Breakfast and service was very good too. Location steps to the port where you can take the ferry to La Madalena , at night market across the hotel and a variety of restautants.Parking free from 8:00PM to 8:00 AM, we didnt use the parking from hotel. Awesome stay.

Good location just a little old

Location is excellent but there is a large parking lot between the hotel and the marina so views are not the best. The hotel is very old (it’s in the name) but once you open the doors and windows it freshens up pretty quickly.

The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Just a couple of things I would point out are no kettle in the room and the air con wasnt very powerful. To counteract my friends kettle situation the hotel gave her free hotwater everyday as she bought her own teabags. The free breakfast was good with plenty of variety

A Base from which to Explore

Great hotel for visiting La Maddelena, convenient for the shops and restaurants, its not the most modern of hotels, but the location makes up for it. There is no pool or beach front, nor is there anyway to sunbathe, its a hotel to explore from, just by the port.

This hotel is in a perfect position. It also offers car parking but you park out front for free in the car park. Our luggage was lost and the staff went above and beyond to help us with retrieving our luggage. They have a bar next door with snacks but surrounded by restaurants and shops on Main Street

The hotel was clean and staff very accommodating. One premium room the AC was only a fan, so room was too hot. The breakfast was nice. The marina area lively with lots of restaurant choices.

Check-in staff Marco was very nice and friendly. He showed us the room and explained everything. The room was clean and tidy. Their continental breakfast was good. Good location, the hotel is surrounded by many restaurants. For the ferry to La Maddelena, the port is only few mins walk away. There is a night market right outside the hotel every night. Will come back for sure if we need to stay in Palau again!

Nice property- Terrible AC

Hotel is central location to the port and town. Nice breakfast and spacious modern rooms and baths. AC was a problem. In the room it would take several hours to get comfortable (22-23) however AC was on a timer and would turn off after 90 minutes, so if you left the room or were sleeping would wake up in hot sweat. Breakfast room AC did not work either.

Parking was not the best. I had to run out and feed the meter. The market was noisy as were the neighbours. Hotel staff were excellent, especially Marco. Breakfast was basic and the room it was served in was not the best, but the breakfast staff were very nice. The shared balcony was not great for privacy reasons. The advertised water view was quite an exaggeration.

The room, front desk staff and hotel are very good . But the breakfast can be significantly improved . The coffee was terrible . They have a beautiful coffee machine behind the bar which remains unused while they make guests use an automatic machine from which the coffee comes out tasting terrible . That is unacceptable in Italy . I went outside to get some sun with my coffee and the breakfast staff scolded me when I came back in to return the cup stating that we are not allowed to “remove items “- as though I was going to steal a cheap coffee mug . Ridiculous . The food quality at breakfast was poor . They need to change this . Otherwise , was a nice stay with friendly staff .

Not a 4 star

This hotel is perfectly located near the port and a huge parking lot in front. I suggest you park in the lot (blue spots) as it is cheaper than the hotel (and the hotel doesn’t have space anyway). The hotel itself is a little outdated but comfortable. Rooms are large and AC works perfectly. I would certainly NOT consider this a 4 star hotel! Your room (unless you book a suite) does jot even come with a complementary water, not cups not a coffee machine. Breakfast was on but also very limited (warm there is bacon and scrambled eggs - that’s it for protein). You will find a little bit of fruit (melon annd apples cut up) annd veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots) and the rest is carbs. In front of the hotel is a nightly market which is super cute. All restaurants and bars are an easy walk. The personell working at the hotel are all very friendly and professional, absolutely nothing but compliments to them all. Thank you 🙏

Cute hotel, nice staff, poor amenities

This is one of the nicest places in Palau and in a great location. Staff was friendly and the room clean and well maintained. Location offers easy parking and access to the town and port. That being said, the rooms are generally poorly appointed and I would not consider this a 4-star hotel. The amenities are not up to par. There was only a sheet on the bed and we had to dig out a comforter and additional pillows from a bag in the closet to bolster the thin ones on the bed. However, most disappointing was the absence of any type of kettle and tea/coffee station in the room. When I inquired I was told the « standard » rooms don’t come equipped with this though all other rooms do. While the description of the standard room does not include a coffee corner, lots of the general photos show this in the rooms and only a very astute reader would notice this possible discrepancy between room classes. It is also very odd for a hotel to limit this type of amenity in the room. In addition, the internet was slow and weak. While working in the room, the signal dropped multiple times. It may be ok for casual internet browsing but not much else. In short, while this may be one of the best options in town, I’m not sure it’s the best value.
