Cheap , functional and central place.

For a one night stay over the hotel does exactly what it need . Nothing fancy but functional. Central location . Room was clean except from the toilet where the walls had stains of what mostly looked like …. Breakfast was fine.

Poor charging options - just one power socket at floor level on just one side of the bed and no USB/USB charging points at all. There were others at the desk on the other side of the room. This is not an IBIS standard as IBIS Budget in Hannover was very well-equipped in this respect. You can always tell when a room has been designed by a committee who never have to sleep there! No keycard entry system - instead you have to memorise your room number and a 6 digit entry code (or write them down somewhere which kind of goes against the idea of a "secret" code!) A small TV by today's standards and nothing much for non-German speakers unless all you want is "news" channels (which to be fair is pretty common in hotels, who seem to believe their customers can relax by watching the news - not!) A really stupid shower - when in use, the water runs down the glass door and this is not in any way sealed, ends up flooding the bedroom floor! Surprisingly, only one shower gel dispenser (almost empty) and that was at the sink not the shower! This was probably due to the fittings in the shower being broken but that is no excuse! This is not the standard I expect from IBIS.

I booked through Expedia and paid with my card, but somehow the hotel had major issues processing my payment. I tried two different cards and neither worked — they simply couldn’t take payment from me. In the end, my daughter had to use her online card to pay for the room, which was incredibly stressful and added to everything else that went wrong. The hotel itself is truly basic and disappointing. Beds creak loudly, the air conditioning unit is there but simply does not work. Walls are just thin plasterboard — you hear everything. The bathroom feels like a cheap plastic box, the whole room looks and feels odd and poorly put together. Staff also seem very basic, with no proper hotel uniforms at all. It’s right next to the train station so extremely noisy — constant announcements over megaphones the whole time. The area feels strange, like a run‑down downtown. It’s supposed to be safe, but I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable. The listing said parking was available, but when we arrived there was no space — yet I could see empty spots from my window. Thankfully the Best Western Hotel next door let us park there for €15 per night. The old town had nothing interesting either. This place is at best 1‑star standard but charged like a 4‑star hotel. I only stayed because we’d driven 8 hours and were exhausted — I had no other choice. Between the payment mess and everything else, it was such a bad experience. I will never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Não foi possível a minha estadia no hotel. Havia escolhido o mesmo por ser Ibis, chequei se havia estacionamento, mas chegando ao local não havia mais estacionamento disponível, nem mesmo privado. Como o local era péssimo com drogados e mendigos circulando, não havia como deixar um carro locado naquele local, até porque era permitido estacionar apenas três horas com parquimetro, solicitei ao recepcionista o cancelamento da reserva, no que fui prontamente atendido, visto que, afirmei que havia lido e checado o estacionamento antes de efetuar a reserva.

I strongly discourage solo women staying in this estaishment. It is filthy, unsafe, in a terrible area and, despite what they told Expedia for their listing, there is no parking. I had to park in the only "safe" parkhaus overnight where there was a break in attempt on the boot of my car. I never would have booked here had I known about the parking situation. Add to this the fire safety risk of being funnelled to a narrow corridor and narrow malfunctioning lift after check-in because the codes don't work on the main central stairwell during normal hours and it is a recipe for disaster. Shelf under the sink was broken, room smelt like faint vomit (I couldn't pin point the cause), breakfast room floor was filthy and in main central stairwell there were chicken nuggets and dog faeces on the stairs. I bailed after one night to a safer establishment 4 hours south (after attending the event I went to see). I've reported this to Expedia and have emailed the establishment. Stay away from it.

De WC was bij aankomst heel smerig, er zaten gewoon half droge gele vlekken op de wc bril. Hier melding van gemaakt en een nieuwe kamer gekregen. Helaas was deze kamer ook niet schoon. Het enige positieve was dat de wc bril iets “ schoner” was. Verder was de kamer en het bed prima.
