Great place to stay

Very nice old hotel. Staff is very friendly and we fell welcome from the moment we arrived. Great breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Small room, but had all we needed. Perfect location in the city center

Drøbak er et dejligt sted, og det er Reenskaug Hotel også, men vi var denne gang ikke helt tilfredse med værelses placering. Det er vist tiende gang vi er der så vi havde håbet på noget bedre. In checkning, morgenmad var meget lækker.

Winter in Drobak

The bedroom was a little tired, but OK. The staff were excellent and so friendly/helpful. Homemade cookies were the treat of the day. Lovely little town!

Mysigt hotel över 140 år med bra läge i Dröbak, fantastisk service och trevlig personal. Dålig belysning i rummet och vi saknade läslampor. Fint med balkong och sittplatser. Mycket god frukost och fri parkering vid hotellet.

Rummet som vi fick, står det en stor lapp: Öppna inte fönstren (30 grader ute) Vi fick bytt rum. Loungemusik spelas utanför fönstret till kl 01:00 utan att gäster är där. All rök från cigarretter går rätt in i rummet. Frukosten var dock bra och läget mysigt.

Reception closed at 2100. Arriving 21.15 I had to spend 15 minutes finding someone who could check me in. Had a meeting room booked. Confirmed by email but they had forgotten so none available.

Buche immer dieses Hotel wenn ich in Drobak bin. Ist auch das einzige Hotel in der Stadt. Gute Hotel Bar und Restaurant. Neu ist das man für das Parken zahlen muss. Verstehe ich nicht ganz, da es kein Parkhaus ist sondern nur frei Flächen ohne Markierungen.

Fantastic service, gorgeous hotel, great location.

We traveled to Drobak to visit the Christmas house/Christmas festivities. The town was very quiet as it was mid week. There were not many Christmas decorations in the town, but the hotel was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and the staff was unsurpassed. It was an easy walk from the hotel to everywhere in town. The beautiful restaurant served the best food I’d had since starting our travels 3 weeks prior through Belgium, France and Germany. The room was small but adequate and very cozy.

Located very close to the Oslo Ford this charming hotel has an Art Deco vibe, the dining hall as an opulent decor and while I only stayed for breakfast, what I ate was excellent. At first I thought the lift looked old and I had an initial distrust of its abilities, but that was before I realised I was staying in a themed hotel and while lifts probably weren’t around in the 1940’s (perhaps they were?) it fitted in with the general vibe perfectly. I could see that there were conference facilities which were in use the whole time of my stay. The only minor gripe, a usb charging point in the bedroom would have been handy, even if it was one accessible from the back of the tv. I know I could have bought an adapter, but I’m kind of used to a USB point being available. I would definitely return for another stay. I also found Drøbak as a place utterly charming.

Hotel show! 😍🌹

I don't usually make reviews due to lack of time, but this hosting deserves it. I was surprised by such cleanliness of the hotel. It is an old (historic) hotel, but the facilities are absolutely impeccable. At the entrance before going to the rooms, there is a super cozy room, a kind of mini museum. Everything INCREDIBLY preserved and clean, very clean! A smell of cleanliness, smell of luxury! The comfortable rooms with impeccable breakfast with noble cheeses, smoked salmon, mushrooms and other items of a perfect breakfast. And finally, AND MOST IMPORTANT, I need to talk about employee Jeanette! What a sympathy! What a customer welcome! Our family loved Jeanette and all the other employees (but she became our favorite😍). We left a note at the reception thanking you. Thank you, Reenskaug! We will come back for the quality of the space and the service!!!

1. Hotel itself was charming, especially the bar and dining area. Breakfast was great. 2. Our room was small, not furnished for us to unpack our suitcases, so we had to pull them out every day to get our clothes; the closet was dark and inconvenient. 3. The room had no ventilation, and the small refrigerator contributed to the heat. When we opened the windows to cool down, the noise outside was too loud. Upon request, the staff did provide a desk fan, which helped. 4. It was Summer, so the sun was up most of the night. Again, the staff provided darkening curtains upon our request, but why did we have to ask? 5. The bathroom had minimal shelving, so we moved the luggage rack into the bathroom to place our toiletries. And the bathtub had no non-slip mat or safety bars for us seniors. I shared my concerns when we checked out with the hope some of these issues will be corrected for the next guests.
