We really enjoyed the sea and port views. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located in Onomichi and within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again next time.

I really appreciated the hospitality of the staff, and the small touches like the ginger tea and jelly they leave for you in the room. I had a wide desk and comfortable chair, and a large twin bed with a very comfortable duvet. The bathroom has modern decor and the hairdryer is almost completely silent. My room faced the city so there was some noise from the traffic below but not too much.

We love the Green Hill Hotel in Onomichi. It is close to the main Arcade and dining options are numerous. We always went to the Cycle Hotel for breakfast, where you can get great pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate. The best okonomiyaki we ever had was in Onomichi at Cafe Murata, located a couple of arcades away. It's easy to take a cable car up the mountain and see the Onomichi City Museum of Art. The working harbor makes it worthwile to order a room on the harbor side.

I picked this due to location; easy walk from train station, Giant bike rental, and storage lockers, because we were doing the Shimanami Kaido ride, starting from Onomichi. The hotel itself is dated, but serviceable, and I am not knocking it because it worked well for us.

Super convenient location, opposite Onomichi Station. Walking distance to most attractions and food options. The room was clean and relatively quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English when my Japanese wasn’t quite up to scratch. I would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect starting point to our Shimanami Kaido bike tour. Comfortable, convenient location with helpful staff to help us on our way (they were especially helpful in arranging our luggage to be forwarded to our ending location). Minutes away from the train station, bike rental shops and ferry terminals. Could not ask for anything more! Highly recommended

Onomichi visit

Good stay for access to the cycling path. Near station and bike hire places. Lovely view of harbour. Hotel good, and check out Little Mermaid bakery across the street, very good for breakfast etc.
