"Staff are very kind and our Japanese style room was well appointed. We did not try the breakfast.
My only suggestion for travellers is if you get the sea facing room, it's directly window facing the main street everyone takes to get to the gate. Therefore starting from 8am, it can be loud."
"Wow. Thats all I can say. It is gorgeous and high end. Such a short walk to all the sights. The service was amazing. I would stay here a million times over."
"This hotel was our favourite of the entire trip. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, they also offered free postcards to mail home including postage, there's an area to take a polaroid with the other guests who have stayed, and they have late night snacks. While definitely more on the pricy side, it's worth it to be on the island and beat the tourist congestion by staying on the island overnight. Totally worth the price!"
"This hotel on this island makes you feel as if you're a special guest. You first take off your shoes and they put them away as you wear the slippers they provide for you. The hotel room is structured in a way that resembles traditional Japanese house. The hotel provides dinner and breakfast, which they will accommodate if you have any allergies. The lobby feels very cozy and has small activities you and your family can enjoy."
"This was a lovely property, all be it a little bit of a hike to get to from the ferry with luggage. We didn’t know when we would be arriving time wise so we couldn’t pre advise the hotel staff who have a shuttle service available. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. This was our second time staying in a ryokan so we had some idea of what to expect. We lovely the smell of the tatami mats and the feel of the, underfoot. But for those unaware, the traditional futon you sleep on is barely a couple of inches thick and laid straight onto the mats. We were fortunate with this one that there were spares in the cupboard so we each had 2-3 mats each, plus used every single spare bit of sleeping material (quilts, pillows, etc) to try and bolster up the beds. It was better, but my goodness, at the end of the day you still feel like you are just sleeping on the floor. Unless you have a particularly light and tiny frame, be prepared for a poor night sleep. Otherwise, great location and everyth8ng was very clean. The view was also amazing!"
"Beautiful ryokan and great place for an onsen retreat! Staff were incredibly helpful & accommodating, and Japanese breakfast was amazing! Would recommend highly; would love to return for another visit!"
