Great hotel, fantastic restaurant

Wonderful hotel, modern clean rooms. The pool is amazing and the view from pool is wonderful. Had dinner in the restaurant it was exceptional, we had the fish soup, one of the best meals I’ve had in Europe.

We really enjoyed our stay at Karl August, visited for my birthday and the hotel left me a pastry in the room which was a lovely touch. Staff were friendly, location was perfect and the rooftop spa was a dream. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Great Place to stay in Nuremberg!

We had a great stay in Nurnberg (Nuremberg) - the hotel felt new and nice. The breakfasts are awesome! Location is outstanding - right in the heart of the historic downtown.

Check-in and out went very smoothly. Room, pool, and sauna were excellent. Cleaning staff and restaurant staff during breakfast were lovely and helpful. You can walk to almost anything you wish and it’s very conveniently located for visiting the Christkindelsmarkt. We would definitely stay here again!

Set within the walls of the old city and located right at the Hauptmarkt which made it easy for walking the area. Lots of cute little shops, restaurants and gelato shops all around. Several beautiful churches. I thought a free breakfast was included at the hotel but it was not. Lots of coffee and bakery shops available though, even a Starbucks! Bring your own washcloths.
