"I feel like we were ‘shunned’ because we booked our room on Expedia and not through the hotel. We were put in one of the back buildings which is old and not updated. I’m sure the bed is from the 90s! The floor in the room hasn’t been washed for ages…
The staff is always great at Paradise and the beach is beautiful. My family has been members here for 30 years and because of the cartel incident, bookings were canceled. So I booked a quick trip on Expedia "

"We just went for a long weekend and it was perfect. It was just my 5 year old and I with the intention to relax and not worry about anything for a few days.
From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were greeted warmly and taken to our private transportation. We arrived to the hotel and while I'm bilingual (much more fluent in English), I decided to try to stick to Spanish on the trip. However, it was great that the staff were all bilingual because my son only speaks English. They made him feel important and were all super friendly and helpful any time we interacted - the front desk, concierge staff, everyone. We were informed of the layout, our dining options, how to plan activities/excursions, things going on at the hotel, etc. Basically anything we would need while there, they were there to help which was very comforting.
The room was clean. It was my birthday and they adorned my door which was a cool surprise. They also brought me a cupcake which my son appreciated because he loved that they did something special for me.
Christi at the towel kiosk was super helpful every day and it was nice to be welcomed by her as we started our day at the pools.
The pools were all great - clean and great options for kids.
We have done many international trips in my sons' short life so far but I can tell this place will always have a special place in his heart. He was very disappointed to leave so I may have promised we'd go back even if it's just for a long weekend :) "
