I love the old rustic vibe of the place, the food is fantastic, the pub is old and historic and the beer is cold and tasty!
All in all and great stay, once again. Thank you.
hotel full of history but needs some TLC. last time I stayed was 3 years ago but the hotel has not moved with the times and the price charged for accommodation is not justified considering what is available locally in the same price bracket, of much higher qualify. the staff are friendly and helpdul but hotel needs investment
Quaint and pretty, with loads of character, a paradise in the Midlands. Compliments for the outstanding service, especially George who has been there for 60 years. Delicious pub dinner and the breakfast was excellent.
Very pleasant "old English" ambience. Lovely views over the dams and relaxing and quiet. Only blot was some noisy hotel cleaning staff at about 7 am when we needed are lie in!
It was sublime pleasure in an extremely welcoming environment. Although I've only spent a few nights there over the years, the comfy and cosy atmosphere, pub meals and "ye olde world" charm are always a certainty!
Comfortable country peacefulness and air of home.. our room was very nice....clean hotel... the best staff .they were very helpful, always smiling and so friendly...
Well situated by good road. There's Wi-Fi and quick service reactions..
Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The bathrooms have been renovated since my last stay and are really beautiful. Check in staff are very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed in the breakfast however. When we arrived for breakfast on the Saturday morning there wasn't much left on the buffet table, the pineapple was rotten and the cheese platter had a few bits and pieces and 1 or 2 biscuits left. I felt this could have been replenished. Also the dining room looked a bit neglected, half the tables were not layed, the tea and coffee was served on odd cups and saucers with no teaspoons.
