the cottage was very clean but the furniture and kitchen set-up was very outdated . Hardly any storage in any of the rooms. It was really quiet which was nice .

Property was clean. Soap, shampoo, dish soap included. It was unseasonably cool when we arrived (would have appreciated having had the heat turned on prior to our arrival.

Cozy cottages close to Cavendish

We took a mother daughter trip to PEI. Great idea! There are many cottages dotting this quaint province, some of them with a waterfront view. This group of cottages does not; however, the new owners made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had been recently renovated. Having a kitchen was a real cost saver as we made a lot of our own meals. The cottages are very close to Cavendish, site of the Anne of Green Gables house. Also very close to Charlottetown, about 30-35 minutes. Staying in the north central portion of PEI put us within easy reach of all the magnificent coastal drives.

Very Disappointing!

Our experience was not so good at all. Paid an arm and a leg for the nights during the CB Music Festival. The cabin was run down, not very clean and had a bug problem. I didn’t sleep. The owners should consider tearing up the carpets too. I was clear to the owner that I could not stay the last night and asked to be moved. They did accommodate us but did not offer anything else.

We stayed 3 nights, but wanted to leave as soon as we arrived. Strong urine smell. We hand to put a air freshener in front of the air conditioning to get rid of the odour. First thing I did was to look for bed bugs. Good thing, there was none. Advertised as complete kitchen but there is no oven. Microwave Start button was not working. New refrigerator. I imagine that counts as “fully renovated kitchen”. We only stayed to sleep. Pool was perfect. For the price we’ve seen more comfortable cottages all around the Maritimes during our summer trip. It is very “rustic”.

Quaint cottage

We stayed at Rustico Cottages the week after the hurricane hit the area so the trip itself wasn't the greatest and the weather not the best. The best part was the accomodations. The cottage and grounds were well kept and very clean and comfortable. The hosts were also excellent.

Very clean, comfy beds, well groomed property. Everyone who worked there was super friendly. Only wish the reservation would have indicated a duplex unit, or gave the option to select a single, detached cottage. Great location, close to Cavendish & the beaches.

Nice ,quiet clean place .... not fancy but cozy . It was nice to have a kitchenette. Two burners and a microwave . Didn’t try the BBQ’s but each cottage has one. Property was about a 5 minute drive to all the ‘attractions’ in Cavendish

Everything was fine. We are in our mid 80;s and still like to sleep together. Could;nt do that, Beds too small. The kitchen could use a cutting board and a kettle.

Clean but run down

Pros - Cost is low. It was clean and located near tourist sites. The onsite manager was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked. Cons - Online pics make it look modern, but the cottage we stayed in looked straight out of the 1980's. It was very run down. The toilet leaked, hot water ran out after 5 minutes, and Wi-Fi only worked 60 percent of the time. Four stars might be a little generous, as the online pictures for the cottage were very deceiving, but staff were nice and I wasn't expecting it to be a high end hotel.

We enjoyed our stay for 4 days and 3 nights. We did have some issues with: -T.V. cable box subscription was expired -DVD player didn't work A little language barrier with the cottage keepers, but they were wonderful. We would stay again.
