The room was extremely clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that I called earlier the morning of my arrival to ask about the condition of the elevator after reading the reviews. I was told that the elevator was operational. When we get there; it wasn't. Interestingly, I was given a room on the second floor (there were no rooms available on the first floor). I had been in a car accident less than ten days before and my mobility was limited. Thanks to my husband and the desk manager, we were able to get our luggage to the second floor. It seems that the elevator is never operational. As a result, I would never choose this hotel again and I don't recommend anyone staying unless there is an available room on the first floor.

The only thing that I had a problem with was the AC it was down, but there was willing to move me to another room and take care of it so I really can’t say that it was a bad state. It was a very good day. I recommend that want to go to.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The parking lot and property in general was clean. Only saw some daily use wear and tear that would be expected. The rooms had good sized kitchens with lots of storage. The room I was in had a updated and very nice bathroom. The area and other guests were calm and quiet, and it's in a nice spot close to shops and restaurants.

When I arrive at the hotel first thing I saw was man outside drinking and hanging out, when I went in the strong smell of animals The front man Sam was nice and showed me the room and it was ok until I went in after check in the bed comfort was dirty, I don’t know how was on top of us but you could here every feet step they took the crying and scares of kids I did ask to check out the day and get refunded the rest of the days and they allowed me to

Inside did not look how the pictures were on the website . Floors were distrusting ! Kids socks were black on bottom after 20 minutes . Roaches started to appear on day 3 out of nowhere. The staff was pretty nice no complaints about them. Wouldn't recommend for a long term stay but if you need somewhere to rest for a day for the low then that'll be the place to go.

Booked for a concert. Checkin was good, staff nice. Room cleaners could use some better training or checked behind by management. Room for improvements there. Hotel convenient to restaurants and a quick uber ride to the venue.

Do not recommend

I was told that I wouldn’t normally be allowed to rent since I live in Charleston, even though most people that stay there lives in Charleston as well. Not clean at all, smells of cigarette smoke all over hotel and in the room. Oh and my security deposit will be refunded if the room is clean and the sheets aren’t soiled. Would not recommend this to anyone

Pros: Pet friendly. Close to the joint naval/air force base. Free parking. Cons: The smoke detector was hanging from the wall. The vending machine was like playing roulette for what we'd get to drink. There were no trash cans in the halls on the floor. There were bugs in our room. The carpet hadn't been cleaned in ages. Weird smells throughout the entire hotel. Graffiti in the elevator. No reentry from the side doors. No amenities in the kitchen suite. Do not recommend staying.

Horrible horrible horrible

Do not stay here!!! He gave away my room and them made me pay an upgrade fee to stay in a deluxe. Took 45 minutes to check in because the first room he gave me was actually occupied. Finally got in my room and found trash in the hallway, my refrigerator didn’t work and there is a homeless camp out back. Pets and children being loud past 10pm. Did not dare take a shower because the only toiletries available were from the previous guest. No breakfast. When I checked out a different guy at the counter asked how it went and I told him I had problems at check in and he didn’t ask me to elaborate or say sorry or anything. Again do not stay here!! I wish I would have not but it was super convenient to where my activities were for the evening.

Disappointing even for a cheap hotel

Checking in was fast and had no extra fees or anything. When we got to the room they had roaches and poison for them in all the drawers and cabinets. My 1 year old was with us and would find the tablets and kept trying to play with them. The microwave above the sink was broken but we were not told this, they did have an extra microwave in the room so they knew it wasn't working. We didn't know which one to use and went to use the broken one not realizing it and it was making a loud noise and started to smoke we immediately turned it off. When I told the front desk they said "Well the other microwave works right?" and I said if they can't take it out they should at least put a note on it so people know not to use it and don't start a fire or something and they just said "yeah ok" so I don't think they had any intention of removing it or even putting a note on it. They also claim to have free breakfast but had nothing out but coffee every morning.

The elevator was not in service the entire time. I was there 2 nights. I didnt find out until I was checked in and got my key card. I was on the 3rd floor and recovering from a knee injury. I have never stayed at a hotel that didnt have an elevator with 3 floors. This was totally unacceptable. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The Continental breakfast was Coffee and Instant Grits. Nothing else. I was so dissatisfied with this experience although the room itself was nice and clean. The hallways smelled like Marijuana. Terrible stay overall.
