Pros: - friendly host - bath towels are fresh Cons: - room smells like sewer, coming from the bathroom - bed linen smell like body odour, comforters not washed/ need replacement brown in colour - noisy: can hear people talking from next room, footsteps from above rooms/ foot traffic from stairs at night - building is across a church, bell rings till 10pm every half hour

Nice, clean space in a quaint small town. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner (the latter stayed up late to get us in when we faced a major delay due to an unprecedented traffic jam). Thank you, Gregoire! Consider the breakfast in the picturesque courtyard. Having A/C was great for a comfortable night.

Very cute neighborhood. We were going to stay in Nice, but happy to found this place instead. The only challenge was parking. You have to use your luck on it.

Our host Gregoire was fantastic. He offered suggestions for beaches, restaurants, etc. He made the most beautiful, delicious breakfast (be sure to have this while staying here). The flat was super clean, comfortable and overall so NICE! The town has a cute little outdoor market and a boulangerie. We had our favorite meal at "Alain Llorca a Saint-Paul-de-Vence" (a michelin award) restaurant just walking distance from our flat. The beaches are about 30 min - easy drive. If you want to enjoy the south of France and feel like you are sleeping in a lovely small village -- stay here! You will not be disappointed.

Lovely Stay & perfect for exploring Cote D'Azur
Our girls' trip to Nice was absolutely fantastic! The stay was delightful, with friendly and clean accommodations. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast on the terrace, which added an extra touch of charm to our experience.

Greg was a wonderful host. He welcomed us early when we were just expecting to drop off bags, working hard to have our room ready. The b&b is a lovely historic house with so much character and I would highly recommend paying extra for the lovely breakfast on the beautiful patio.

Beautiful tucked away escape outside of Nice. The rooms are adorable and spacious. Beds were comfortable and views breathtaking. We stayed in the suite and it was perfect for us and our 2 young kids. Portable crib with actual mattress was provided for our son and he slept great. Had an amazing dinner in town at Michelin restaurant at recommendation of owner. Delicious pastry shop in town as well. Parking is tough but not impossible. Highly recommend for couples, families, or honestly anyone coming to the area.

We stayed for two nights in the suite. The whole property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast was served both outdoors on a lovely patio and inside in a nicely furnished dining room. We didn’t have any problems with street parking. La Colle-sur-Loup is very pleasant to walk around and easy to find places to eat. The host was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect base to explore St Paul da Vence and the area. SPV is a short walk, bus or ride share away. The streets outside are closed to cars for summer evening dining. Gregoire runs a lovely house inn. Breakfast was just right. Would stay again.

within 30 to 60 minutes of the coast from Monte Carlo to Cannes. And La Colle-sur-Loup and small towns north are beautiful and easy to access, Gregory and the tourist office were very helpful.

A remarkable village and a welcoming BnB located in a 300 year old structure. Our host Greg provided wonderful French breakfasts every day (try the cappuccino) and his tips on what to do and where to go or eat were spot on.

Hidden gem in St Paul-de-Vence
What a really beautiful house !!! located near St Paul-de-Vence and also close to NICE. Super cozy, pretty, clean and spacious. Above all, air-conditioning was great. Breakfast in the pretty garden was really delicious and especially we loved all thing from orange juice to homemade ginger jam:) You can enjoy real provence right here. Thanks to the nice owner, we had a perfect day. Thank yoy very much :) If we visit around provence, we will definitely be back !!!

Lovely overnight family stay
Stayed Friday night with our 3 girls waiting to get into our villa on the Saturday. Lovely old building well renovated. Could comfortably fit all 5 of us in the room. Air conditioned which was great and good shower. Manager was lovely and very helpful with checking in , bags, etc. Continental breakfast in the courtyard was nice and relaxed. Great start to the day. Lots of good local restaurants in the main village street about 100-200 metres away. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night but it was absolutely amazing. Gregoire was an impeccable host. The B&B was beautiful and our room had a view of St. Paul de Vence! The breakfast? Superb! I highly recommend this to all!

The property is lovely and Greg is a great host. The room was clean and spacious with beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped.The breakfast is served in a lovely garden downstairs. We were there for just one night and wished we had more time to relax and enjoy. Highly recommended !

Greg was very kind. Upgraded our room. People in Nice are very nice. It caught us unexpected since our Paris trip we didn’t expect such wonderful people. It would be one of the places I would go back to. Everybody was kind and helpful without asking for help from oldies, young teenager and bus driver.

Gregoire was friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel is well located in a cute little town that is near to many wonderful sites. We particularly enjoyed breakfast outside on the pretty little patio. Ask for an upper room, overlooking the patio if possible.

Welcoming friendly host. We had a spacious apartment for three adults and two children. Breakfast is served in a lovely garden. The town is a much quieter place than many in the area which is a big plus—not at all swarming with tourists, make-believe galleries and ice cream shops. Yet there are a few restaurants, shops and market. And close to St Paul, Antibes, etc.

Amazing hotel in quaint village close to St Paul!
This place is a hidden gem. The small village doesn’t look like much at first from the main road, but the hotel and quaint little town have a lot more than meets the eye. The inside of this old farm house has been beautifully transformed and appointed! It is comfortable and peaceful. The host/owner is wonderful and gave us great insight into the area. I highly recommend!!!

Exceptional stay in quaint village
We had an unforgettable (in the best way possible) stay at Maison Carles. The beautiful property has an authentic French village feel and is located in the picturesque town of La Colle Sur Loup (just 15 minutes north of Nice by car). Having grown up in the area, the owner Gregoire is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping guests form their travel plans. He always goes out of his way to make sure his guests have a wonderful stay. For instance, when we arrived late the first night and no restaurants were open, he prepared dinner for us. Would strongly recommend.

Maison Carles was nice & the service was excellent. We were about 15 minutes from the heart of Nice which gave the real feel of being in the French countryside. All rooms were remodeled and clean. Breakfast was prepared each morning & Grégoire was very accomading to my party. I would definitely recommend & I would stay in the future.
