My perfect vacation

My stay at Castle Hill is always what I expect it to be - perfect. Starting with the team receiving me at arrival, to the team serving the meals to the housekeeping team, the service is excellent, friendly, considerate and accommodating. The beach cottage is beautiful and the views spectacular. The best part was being able to be on the private beach with my new puppy Vienna. So, thank you Castle Hill Inn for always taking care of us when we’re here.

Sunset right outside our window, woke up at 4:00 AM and the moon was framed in our window, and as beautiful as that was it still pales to the property and the magnificent harbor views. Put this together with a great crew and the quintessential historic building with all its unique charm, a great stay!!!

Lovely historic hotel with sleek modern amenities

Absolutely beautiful location, impeccably maintained and serviced, very kind staff. Worth the price. The property is unique and historical, the plantings and trees are lovely, and the breakfasts are nonesuch. We enjoyed playing cards in the bar with its woody ambiance and William Morris upholsteries and lounging in the original Chinoiserie inspired living room. The Beach houses have an amazing view

Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic beer for our designated driver. We very much enjoyed the food and the the beef short rib was the best I've ever had. The included served breakfast was excellent and my pick is the poached eggs with lobster "hash" and Holindase sauce. We were here in March and activities we enjoyed are: 1) Ocean Drive and Brenton Point State Park 2) The Cliffwalk 3) The Mansion tours 4) Shopping around the Tennis Hall of Fame 5) Auto Museums - Audrain and Newport Auto Museum When we come in the summer we also enjoy the beach. This hotel is especially convenient if you have a car. Plenty of parking.

Stayed for two days in August. Stayed in harbor house 4 located right by the water with a great morning wake-up view. Beautiful property with a wonderful location. Just spent the day lounging on the lawn watching the bay and the boat traffic, of course with a glass of wine. Dining options were excellent, staff from valet to housekeeping were great. Well worth it!
