The staff was very friendly and enjoyed talking with us. They were very helpful in helping us find what we needed. The property is under full camera coverage and I didn't worry about my ebikes on my car overnight.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast area was too small for a hotel of this size. The location, however, it's ideal for visiting the historic sites in Nauvoo.

I’ll rate this hotel every time I stay as excellent! Excellent staff, excellent facilities and location of course. It appears to be a bit older but don’t let that sway you. They keep it very clean and well maintained. If you need anything they will always accommodate you. When we stay there we always feel it to be a home away from home.

We traveled with another couple and had rooms for 2 nights. Their room was lovely! So well furnished and comfortable. Ours was bad. No chairs, bed uncomfortable. Very stripped down. The attendant said we would have to stay there for the first night. My husband then came in and insisted that they move us to a better room. She did but it gave me a sour taste for the place.

We loved the staff and our room. It was very clean. The only criticism that I have is that the breakfast area was incredibly small for the amount of people that were in there you could not move around? Sometimes there wasn’t enough food the last day we were there, we couldn’t even get into the breakfast room because of the amount of people. We had very little for breakfast every morning. We were there for four mornings and people were taking such enormous amounts of food. I didn’t like pouring my orange juice out of a gallon container that four kids had just done before me. It was very unsanitary. They would reach into the muffins and they would reach into the bagels and touch them and look at them and then put them back. also, we thought it was quite strange that the lady who was shutting the door at 8:45 was so adamant and kicking people out. The room needs to be at least three times the size for the amount of people that were in there every morning and breakfast should be at least one more hour long to accommodate everyone.

We arrived in the evening on Memorial Day, got checked in quickly, and the staff was wonderful. The room was clean, and it met our needs for our quick visit the next day. The summer tourist season had not officially opened. We were grateful to have a microwave in our room as the grandkids wanted some Hot Pockets and tv dinner lasagna for a late meal! The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. We would definitely return to the hotel. Nauvoo is a small town. Without Casey's and the Dollar Store, Nauvoo has little to offer for eating, at least for breakfast. This may be different if visiting during the summer season. A little prior planning, preparation, and visiting the grocery store in Carthage or Keokuk would be advised!
