"This review is for the Great Sand Dunes LODGE Pros: Newly remodeled bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Microwave, frig, and TV in room worked. Cons: Sliding doors hard to slide and lock. Slider screen was ripped. Wife questioned whether bed linens were fresh. Breakfast is light (packaged muffins, packaged juice, cereal). No other food available. (Make sure you bring your own food.) Office was closed from 7 pm to 8 am. For $220/night this place is kind of run down."

"This is a very nice facility on the edge of town. We had a really pleasant stay there. They had a wonderful, very well maintained hot tub and pool, and all parts of the hotel were fresh and new looking. Well-appointed and very big bathroom with powerful hot shower. The staff could not have been nicer. Very friendly and they gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We had a terrific time downtown. They also were really helpful and gave us cleaning supplies to help clean mud from our windows after we went through some back roads. I highly recommend this place. Good breakfast, too!"

"Everything fine except extra charges to my CC for $200 that no one at best Western Alamosa can explain to me. I've been given a number to call to have the charges explained to me, but it doesn't work unless you have your itenerary #...pissed! Will NEVER book another stay at Best Western if this is their policy!!!!"
