"Far from great but not the worst.... inexpensive.... i guess you get what you pay for.... it was quiet, peaceful, shower was great.... they must have recently sprayed for bugs bc dead bugs all over the floor. Can't say i would recommend to anyone.... but my 19yo son and myself laughed about it and said it was absolutely cleaner than camping and we just needed somewhere to rest and shower..... not a vacation."

"Good pool which was outside. Room spacious not serviced every day. Air conditioning very good. Good beds, frig and microwave. Fairly clean room. A lot of smaller insects flying about that would get into drinks during breakfast. Breakfast was ok with hot items, waffles and typical coffee, milk and juice to drink. Cereal, oat meal, grits all from packets. Bananas and apples, yogart. I noticed several apples were turning bad in bowl. The front desk staff were really good and very helpful! Stayed 5 nights and worth the money."

"This hotel was wonderful. My kids and I are originally from CA and we had travelled to MO to see my eldest graduate from the Army. This hotel was a stop on our way home (visiting family in Slidell) and stayed 2 nights. Price was reasonable. Hotel was kind of located by itself, but there was a strip mall close by with several stores and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel."

"Everything in the room was great except the couch in the suite was cloth and you could see visible stains on the entire thing so I did not use. The staff and amenities were awesome and this Microtel will continue to be my go to when I’m I come home to New Orleans."

"This hotel is okay. I have stayed here 3 times now. The location is great with easy access to Walmart and several popular restaurants. It is about 30 minutes to New Orleans. The rooms I have stayed in have all been recently updated, although I noticed on this stay that there were rooms that were in the process of being remodeled, so depending on occupancy, you might get a room that has not yet been updated. About the updates. They have done a good job in the main room area, although the lighting in my most recent room was a bit lacking. Also, the TV was a small 32" LCD. In other rooms the TV was larger, but I am guessing they only replace the TV when the previous one stops working. There is an apartment sized fridge with freezer (not a mini-fridge), a cooktop, a microwave, and a sink. You will need to bring your own dishes, pans, and utensils. The biggest issue is the shower area. The tub is older and in every case, the tub finish has spots that are stained or pealing. Technically, it is clean, but it just looks old. If you are picky about your bathroom fixtures, you might not like this place. But, I consider the price which has always been very reasonable. The breakfast is not great. There is a waffle iron, cereal, bagels (and a toaster), some juice and coffee. They have hard boiled eggs (you peel) and some packaged muffins. It would be nice if they added some hot items to the breakfast like maybe scrambled eggs and sausage patties. I would stay here again."
