We loved our stay. Awesome view over the water. Ignore the poor reviews. These are vintage cottages, if you are looking for hotel rooms, then stay in a hotel. Would defently stay again. Thank you

Place was not like it advertised, No lake view, very very small room, no place to put your bathroom stuff, make sure to take take your bedding pillows, sheets, covers. Don’t brush your teeth with the rust water, use bottled watter.. BBQ grills they say you can use are discussing, take your drinks . Its not at all what we were expecting

Awsome cabin❣️Clean, cute, cozy.Bob was extremely helpful when a question arose regarding billing, it came by another name. Even recieved a follow up phone call reassuring me I was good to go! The only negative thing was a golf cart w/2 women that zoomed up to my car twice & zoomed away laughing not sure where they came from??

Love the staff, cleanliness was good, only problem was the well water which is something they can't change I guess. The smell of the water was horrible, couldn't even take a shower, my husband puked cause he took a chance in the shower. But they tell you in advance to prepare for this, we just took a shower at the bath house at Indiana beach, overall it was a good stay. Close to everything, and in walking distance to the park, which is why we came, the staff made it a great stay, thank you Jill and I forgot the other lady name but they are really doing a good job with keeping up the property, even though it's not luxury, it was homey

Quiet, old hotel converted. It was clean. No towel racks or hangers for clothes. Would be great for out of town workers or fishermen. It was ok and close to Indiana beach which was the reason I chose to stay there.

Had an amazing stay with my family. My only issue was the water had a strange smell. I attribute this to well water being used onsite. The website recommended bringing bottled water and im glad we did. Our room had an excellent view of the lake and was conveniently close to the theme park. I dont know if it was a 10 min walk like other reviews claim but it was definitely less than a 5 min drive.

We were very impressed with Hannah who manages the property. She was available after-hours for late check-in and was quite helpful. The rooms were clean and updated, nice linens and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay at Outrigger again in the future.

They just opened but everything looked as if it was still under construction. The room was very dark, a lot of holes in the walls, (trim, under the outlet, etc.). No towels. Staff was extremely friendly, but we ended up leaving within 10mins of being there. Maybe they just need more time to complete the repairs. In the meantime, I do not recommend this resort.

Booking was easy. They called to confirm our stay before hand, which I was pleased with. When we arrived, view was beautiful. However, cabin was not as seen in photos. Cabin smelt awful and felt dirty. I cleaned everything myself with soap and water just to feel better. Front door had a huge gap at the bottom for bug etc. Did not like that. Beds were OK. No pots and pans as stated on website. When I emailed them about it, they simply stated "they are under the sink". Nothing there and I replied back but then no response. So we had to eat out (after grocery shopping for our stay). Was upset about that. Poison Ivy out side and going by the water is dangerous and pool water had a weird film to it. Overall, I don't believe we will stay there again unless it's the only place available. P.s. I left the place cleaner then the way I found it.

Horrible. Not worth it.
This was absolutely disgusting. Within seconds of being there the light bulb fixture on the ceiling fell &shattered. There was some type of black stuff in the shower. The toilet was not cleaned, there was mold in the coffee pot, what looked like cigarette burns in the comforter, hand towel rack not even hung up just sitting on the soap disoenser, overall gross. We were only 2 hours away from home so after the amusement park we left &decided to just drive home for the night instead of staying there

Needs updated. No heat except for a small space heater. Hot water smelled horrible!! (Rotten egg smell).

All of the units open during the winter have heat, the ones we close during winter but are open in the summer so not have heat, we are slowly updated them. Hope to see you back

Very nice folks running the place. Let us come back the next day because my little guy REALLY wanted to swim. Cool little motel if you're not looking to break the bank, and not worried about living the resort life. Within walking distance to the park and other activities.

There were ants all over the walls in the kitchen, there was water leaking from somewhere in the bathroom and the tv only got one channel.

I’m sad to hear you had ants, we do have the whole property sprayed every month to prevent this. The water leaking issue was fixed, and for the tv only getting one channel, that is Comcast so they have been called to check on things for us. Thank you for your feedback. Outriggers is way above the quality I was expecting. It is an underrated treasure for the money. The staff and even the other guests were as friendly and helpful as you can get. My family will definitely stay there anytime we go back to the Monticello area if they have vacancy.

CABIN WITH NO HEAT AND NO TOWELS
This is literally a cabin. There is NO HEAT at all, I was freezing cold. There is no soap, no shampoo, and NO TOWELS. I was given a roll of paper towels. I froze all night covering myself in old blankets and bed covers. When I showered in the morning, the water smelled VERY BAD and I had to dry myself with paper towels. This was a horrbiel experience and I should not have been charged for this "stay"

Overpaid for tiny outdated cabin
Staff is friendly. However, paid over 200 for one night and it was not very comfortable. Not very accommodating for the price we paid. Had to bring our own towels, but after one shower smelled up the entire cabin the rest of opted out of using the water to clean ourselves. Had to go elsewhere for bathing. Spiders in every corner, water smelled like rotten eggs, huge truck parked right in front of our cabin partially blocking our space, outdated interior, screens broken on the windows that could open and door was not very secure. For the price I paid, I would not recommend this location. If I ever return to Monticello, I would rather stay at a place worth the dollar amount.

The cabins could use some updating, and the parking is very limited. The owners did upgrade our cabin from 4 to 6 people, and did not charge me the price for 6 people, I think that was very nice.

The couple that runs this property are kind, accommodating and super friendly and hospitable. The cabin we stayed in was clean and well appointed. The grounds were kept nice. We didn’t use the pool, so I am unable to comment on that. Our only complaint, if you would call it that, is that the soda machines took $4 and didn’t disburse a soda or return our money. The one soda we did get was warm. If you’re looking for somewhere clean to sleep while you enjoy Indiana Beach all day, this is perfect. If you’re looking for a luxury stay, this is not your place. For the price, proximity to the park, cleanliness and friendliness, we would stay again. (2 adults and 3 teenagers)

We had the best mini vacation with the grandkids. Great place for a family. Owners are waiting and willing to take care of anything you need. We are booking a mini vacation just for the 2 of us. Cabin 2 has a great view of lake. Beds are comfy and clean. Dock right below the cabin. Love this place!!!

The staff was helpful and was an accommodating as much as possible. The condition of the property was very poor. The bathroom we had had mold on the walls. There were no towels available inside the cabin nor soap. Which was weird because usually hotels/cabin have basics such as soap and towels. The cabin did have dishes but no soap...weird. The cabin had bugs everywhere flying inside and hovering on the tvs and lamps. There was a plumbing issue inside the cabin upon our check in which lasted for about 4 hours. I could not use the bathroom at the cabin and had to wait til I we were at the amusement park. When we came back to cabin the sink was still clogged in the kitchen. The outside patio furniture could use a good wipe down. The quality of the place sucked and I couldn't wait to go home and shower....never would come back again. The keepers of the property had family over and that made the stay slightly chaotic. I didn't feel too comfortable and checked out asap. The keepers of the property were very kind but I think they could have stepped their game up. I felt like I was at their house and not a hotel/cabin. #Sorrynotsorry

To much $$ for what you get.
This place might have been nice years ago but its showing its age. The cabins are not clean and from what i could tell, kids under 12 were the housekeepers. We paid $360 for 2 nites wich was IMO $100 too much. However everyone is friendly and the grandkids enjoyed themselves and had fun @ Indiana beach. Next time its best western for me.
